Because the World has turned it’s back on God.

“God is allowing this because, as a loving Father, He would rather us suffer and save our souls than comfortably slide to perdition.”

Yes! Our Heavenly Father is setting the stage for many heroic martyrs. Let us not weaken.

Roman Catholicism is no more the church than Mormonism and JW is. Just another false man-made religion.

Fulfillment of end times prophecies.

Scripture has a lot to say about what is going to happen during the Tribulation period, but in order for it to happen, it must be being put in place before then. Things like digital currency and the technology to monitor virtually everyone, and to implement the Mark of the beast.

Also, the moral collapse that set up ‘as in the days of Noah’, when violence filled the earth and the thoughts of
men were only evil continually.

We’re getting there at breakneck speed.

Every mass, they call Jesus down to put him on the cross and sacrifice him again. Out of all the heresies, that is the worst.

Actually on an altar. A bloodless sacrifice performed hundreds of thousands of times worldwide in daily masses. If transubstansiation is real.

The immorality, homosexual infiltration they have allowed, and the pedophilia they enabled certainly remove Catholicism from any ability to call itself Christ’s Bride, or HIs representative on earth.

I wish I had a better memory. My Protestant pastor gave a class on the various bad things that happen to people. IIRC their were 4(?) basic reasons.

1)Original sin which caused the entire earth to be not what it was supposed to be (so natural disasters like floods, earthquakes, and illness like cancer, etc.)

2) Our own sin (driving drunk and hurting someone, ending up in jail).

3) Other people’s sin and evil intentions (killing, etc.)

4) God’s actual punishment of us so that we might learn. He said that last one is fairly rare. And while we can learn of God’s grace and love for us from the first three, we shouldn’t be too quick to claim all of our misfortune on God’s punishment.

It seems to make sense to me. Of course in the end people will receive the full extent of God’s punishment, but for the time-being he uses it more as discipline and a correction.

The question betrays a bad understanding of scripture.

“God sees more than we can see. He knows more than we know. He works in ways beyond our comprehension.

(Isaiah 55:8-11) And if we agree to follow Him only when we understand what He’s doing, we’ll always stop short of experiencing His inexplicable wonders.”

It seems that it is time for some form of rebellion. The only options I see are to reform the Catholic church or to leave it.

Deu 28:63 “Just as the LORD has found great pleasure in causing you to prosper and multiply, the LORD will find pleasure in destroying you. You will be torn from the land you are about to enter and occupy.

Evidently, God takes pleasure is what he does.....................

I found my late father’s Bible recently. Given his notes and bookmarks, he was particularly focused on the Book of Job, so I have been studying it. Based on that study, it seems to me that, from our perspective, God’s approach to any particular man can be quite fickle. It also seems clear that our perspective is pretty meaningless, because we have little if any ability to truly understand God. Faith, yes. Understanding, not so much.

The Church age dispensation is approaching its end. Apostasy and false doctrine are predicted at the closing of the Church age.

particularly focused on the Book of Job,

I too enjoy.

Major point for me is “before, I knew about you, now I have seen you with my own eyes.

Isaiah 45:7

I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all these things.
