1) I’ve always wondered where the dude committing adultery with her was ... Did he have friends in high places? Perhaps a few denarii changed hands? Something stinks ...
2) Overly eager? Yes. Also devious and morally compromised.
Hmmm ... we’re all sinners ... perhaps best we not be eager accusers. And make sure we’re placing our faith, and our life, in Jesus, the ultimate Friend in High Places.

Generally, I don't care for cubism either, but He Qi amuses me greatly. Just ignore his.
Yes, the whole thing stank, as Jesus quickly revealed, to their utter astonishment: a classic case of "they didn't see that coming."

Why was there only the ‘woman’?
Where was the man?
It takes two to tango...........

I remember asking my Sunday School teacher that very question (#1) when I was a lad. She didn’t have an answer.

Since they caught her in the very act, they were spying on her. Perverts. And, what about the man?

Some painters forgot to paint her messed up hair. Wouldn’t have been all set and nice since they jerked her from the middle of the scene.

I am fascinated with the various interpretations of this scripture. Since Jewish law called for stoning, the scribes and pharisees were attempting to ensnare Jesus. Roman law required that the man be presented WITH the woman in a court of law. Jesus is able to get to the heart of the matter which is sin.

Good Morning Dan, and happy ‘new week’ to all!
In our brokenness, we’ve all knelt before Him in the same way- and heard our reprieve.
#3, #4, #5 Cranach family: such venomous accusers.
#27 Wonderful! Anyone know the artist?

A favorite story Dan, thank you!
