I am fascinated with the various interpretations of this scripture. Since Jewish law called for stoning, the scribes and pharisees were attempting to ensnare Jesus. Roman law required that the man be presented WITH the woman in a court of law. Jesus is able to get to the heart of the matter which is sin.
