ON THE WATER? |
Peter’s walk on the water is a really a parable of how Christians are a lot of times.
At first they are gung-ho and very full of the faith and spirit, then as time goes by, they are buffeted by the cares and turmoil of this world, their faith falters and they begin to sink back into their old ways.........................
A wonderful #1 by Brent Borup, another Christian artist from Idaho.
Stunning stained glass windows!
Rane, Weistling, Brion, beautiful.
Finally, # 39 by the Korean artist Yongsung Kim. Symbolic of Christ being always there to save us from spiritual death.
As the artist described, at age 20 he had a dream with God asking him what he was going to do with the gift he had given him. From then on, he felt compelled to paint images of Christ. Much feelings and emotions in his work.
So many excellent paintings this morning, Dan. It’s hard to find a favorite. But if I must, I’d say I liked #39 -
YONGSUNG KIM - “The Hand of God”
Jesus had a smile on His face as He rescued His friend, the impetuous Peter.
It reminded me of when my oldest son at age 3 ran full speed towards the deep end of the resort swimming pool, jumped in, then realized he didn’t know how to swim.
The lifeguard stood there a moment before rescuing him and said, “I’m going to let him think about his actions firs”.
Good Morning Dan, and a blessed day to all.
We all can relate to this story! Indeed our King reached out to each of us!
Think back... where would you be today, if He had not?
#1 Borup
#37 Hunter
#39 Kim
Thank You Dan =:^)
Abraham Hunter’s look striking. Thanks
