It always says "No room at THE inn." Implies that there was only ONE inn in the entire town. Probably so, since Bethlehem was and still is a smallish town. Bethlehem, Christmas Day 1898 Bethlehem, 1937

Remember that during David’s reign, he committed a grave sin by ordering a census of the people, apparently so bad that even the evil Joab didn’t want to do it.

Ironic that the only reason Joseph and Mary were in Bethlehem was to be counted in the census ordered by Caesar Augustus....................
