We had a sermon awhile ago on doctrine. It was very good and went into quite some detail about the various types of doctrine.
At the top of the list is what your church believes is CRUCIAL to belonging to in the church. Stuff like the trinity, Jesus died for our sins, Jesus WILL return and rule for eternity, etc.
The second tier was things important to one’s faith and that you should have a good understanding of it and be able to make a defense of it. IIRC, the end times was in that category. The three pastors at our church held three different views! And they all have modified their beliefs over the years. But - as you and others have said - it will all pan out in the end.
