# 12 by Edwin Long. Another artist who had traveled to the middle-east, this painting reflects the impressions of those trips. Long depicts Vashti in her vulnerable moment, sadness and resignation, even her crown is on a table at her left perhaps foreshadowing that she will soon have to relinquish it. It is a huge paintings with beautiful details.
