Why did St. Paul call the Lord's Supper - "The Blood of Christ" if it was paganesque to drink Blood?

Good question!

Too bad it is slightly askew.

In 1 Corinthians 10:16, Paul referred to the drink used at Communion as "participation in the blood of Christ."

So, let me see if I got this right. Jesus said, “do this in remembrance of me.” I am really going out on a limb here, and I will interpret what He meant. What Jesus really meant was, do this in remembrance of me. Would I be correct in assuming He didn’t mean eat his body and drink his blood? That would be false doctrine.
