Likely as not? If 50% of priests were provably guilty of molestation, most of us wouldn’t see one outside of visiting hours at the state penitentiary. The real number is more like 3%, and that includes those removed from active ministry.
What with the way the Catholic hierarchy has protected it’s molesting priests, no way they’d be in jail.
The only reason any ever went to jail in the first place is because a few brave souls refused to be intimidated and blackmailed with threats of loss of salvation for speaking up.
They told the Catholic leadership and the it did nothing so they had to go to civil authorities to get justice.
That’s an abomination that secular, civil authority is more righteous in dealing with sin and crimes than the Catholic hierarchy.
God is very clear in Scripture in how to deal with sin within the body of Christ, and Catholicism couldn’t even follow the procedure set for in the book that it continually claims credit for.
All Catholics ever seem to do is excuse the sin in their own while demanding everyone else follow the rules they won’t themselves.
