When I was a Catholic, I praised Mary, a lot more than I praised God. I don’t anymore, of course. 😃

On the other hand, according to you, Joseph was NOT a horny old goat. 😂 He and Mary, actually did the evil deed, and had sexual pleasure in their life. Two of the half brothers of Jesus, were James and Jude, who both wrote books in the New Testament, and James was the leader of the Jerusalem church, not Peter. Who knows when Mary and the others actually became believers? Some say Mary knew Jesus was different, but didn’t REALLY know who he was, till he walked out of the tomb. Who knows for sure, but do you think Catholic heads are exploding? Oh well, such is life. 😊😀

I wish it were the former, but given your visceral tendencies toward Catholics, ...

In your haste, you failed to grasp what I clearly stated at the outset.

Though- any Catholic who knows their faith properly, knows that we can NEVER love Mary- more than we love Jesus. Never, Ever.

That we love God's choice for bringing his Son into this world- neither distracts from, degrades, nor diminishes His Son.
Mary's Soul Magnifies Christ- not the other way round.

But no, it is you who chooses to cut yourself off from the fullness of Christ's life in denying the Blessed Virgin.
You choose to be neither blessed by Mary, nor allow her to bless you.

If that's what you think God wants for you, then I say...

I post a daily Gospel you might have noticed, that rarely includes mention of the Blessed Theotokos.But when I catch wind of someone dissing Jesus' momma... I'll fight that fight every time.

And if you could open your mind while you read something- what I was going on about was NOT mine- but of Fr. Don Calloway... if you were paying attention at all.
As I CLEARLY CITED- It was Fr. Calloway's  hypothetical ideal of how you would choose Mary if you were Jesus - NOT mine.
Pay attention- I take no credit in his story- and how that thought came to him.

You see - Father Calloway,  had a rough childhood- 3 fathers by age 8, he was a military kid- moved around alot-  got hooked on drugs, angry, satanic heavy metal listener- atheist.. a real ahole teenager (by his own admission).
His behavior was so bad he actually got kicked out of a foreign country his family was stationed in - Japan or Korea, not sure.
Back in the states he was drug addicted and homeless.

And then... as he tells it,  The Blessed Virgin came into his life. Through spiritual direction of Nuns, dedicated to  Mary- working for Christ- they brought him to Jesus through the love of HIS Mother.
And what did she do? She took his broken butt, cleaned him up- and pointed him to Jesus-
and then into the priesthood.

You think Mary serves no purpose to Christ?
Keep thinkin that... Google this Priest to learn how wrong you are.

Possibly, but it means Mary was a lost sinner at one time. She was a sinner, like all of us. I know that doesn’t sit well with the Romans, but I prefer to tell the truth, and the truth is, Mary was a sinner, who had sex with her husband, and gave birth to a number of other children. When God said be fruitful, Mary and Joseph obeyed God, and multiplied, big time. 😀 By the way, didn’t God punish Israel, for worshipping Mary? 😊😀 It’s necromancy. It’s evil.

Who needs the Godhead when we can go to Mary for everything. She gets the love, the devotion, the glory that belongs to God alone, she teaches, she leads people to Jesus, she saves, she blesses.

With a Mary like that to worship, adore, look to and emulate, who needs God?

You are correct MM, it surely does. Sounds a bit like Mormonism, becoming gods. Isn’t that what Satan offered Adam and Eve, that they would be like God, knowing good and evil? And also, isn’t this desire to be like the Most High, kind of what led to the Fall, in the first place?
