Then Moses said, “Now show me your glory.”

And the LORD said, “I will cause all my goodness to pass in front of you, and I will proclaim my name, the LORD, in your presence. I will have mercy on whom I will have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I will have compassion. But,” he said, “you cannot see my face, for no one may see me and live.”

Then the LORD said, “There is a place near me where you may stand on a rock. When my glory passes by, I will put you in a cleft in the rock and cover you with my hand until I have passed by. Then I will remove my hand and you will see my back; but my face must not be seen.”

Then the LORD came down in the cloud and stood there with him and proclaimed his name, the LORD. And he passed in front of Moses, proclaiming, “The LORD, the LORD, the compassionate and gracious God, slow to anger, abounding in love and faithfulness, maintaining love to thousands, and forgiving wickedness, rebellion and sin. Yet he does not leave the guilty unpunished; he punishes the children and their children for the sin of the fathers to the third and fourth generation.”

Moses bowed to the ground at once and worshiped.

I’ve often picture the Lord’s face as every face that ever existed, continuously changing, morphing from one to another, every second, never being the same one twice in billions of years......................

I think ‘countenance’ in this case means expression, like not angry, not changing expression, like your mother when you came home late..............................

Since He is the same y, t and f, I think His physical appearance is unchanging.

He puts on creations like a suit in His closet,, his body is all creation morphing spiritually to His will like a clay pot is made from the potters inside will for its use..it appears the kiln is heating up..

So when a pot is glazed in His will, and contains all he seeks in His creation, will he not use it?

The only way we will see the Father without dying from the power is when the same power is in us, as the life, one in all, the light does not pass through darkness causing heat from the friction.
It is welcomed by the saving grace of Jesus inside.

Wedding of the lamb, body of Christ..
He looks like all there is, formless and with form..
There is no one else really, is there?
One life in all, one, the newly formed pot holds water..

Great choices, Alba. It’s hard to find copies of Larson’s works which are linkable, so I was pleased today.

I, for one, am prepared for the era when He resumes creating on the eighth day; and if He decides to involve and include us in His creative process, I’m ready for that, too.

Since an artist has already expressed your picturing of this scene, you’ve already hit paydirt. But do you ever stop and imagine how you would render a scene differently than everyone else? It’s an interesting exercise, I think.

Yes.
I recall there was one of your Joseph and his brothers selections that I would have used to dress a set and scene in a movie or play.

Short of going back in time and observing them first hand, we get our imagination and/or the artists..

Do you suppose that once we’re in heaven we’ll be able to go back and watch biblical incidents occurring?

Would not surprise me.

And Glorified bodies may be capable of going places and doing things we can’t fully comprehend.
