Heavenly Father, our nation - and those with whom we have had an historically close relationship, such as Canada - have many prayer intercessors asking for revival.
In us, in our churches, in our populations, in our nations.
Have heard that it begins with examination of self, confession of all known sin. Repentance and renunciation of same.
But so many Christians no longer know Your Word, Your Bible, Your will as to what constitutes sin. And have no idea - or worse, do know - that some or many of their pursuits of entertainment or knowledge are strictly forbidden in Your Word.
Help us please to search out the truth in Your Word, and, having done so and learned what Your will is regarding certain practices and knowledge, for us to confess and repent of same.
Help us to humble ourselves, and to pray something like the prayer below, for us, for our families, for our churches, for our pastors, for our nation. Forgive us, so that what we do no longer curses our families, our selves, our nation.
And Father, if our pride questions the occult or idolatrous nature of the items in which we indulge and please ourselves, please help us to research the matter with the Bible and a knowledgeable pastor and church. To be good Bereans.
