If I recall correctly, you’re on my “do not disturb” list.

Um, Angels don’t have bodies? Can you popint me to Bible texts which support this contention? ... What reached into Palace Party Central, Babylon, to write upon the wall (Danile 5)?

Yes.. totally agree… though I’m not sure I’m ready to make that connection of people leaving the Church over an unbelief in the Real Presence. Most non-Catholic faith beliefs out there are experiencing equal declines in their faithful as well. The main purpose to share the post is for the education of those who are already saying “Amen” to the Eucharist – and may not understand the totality of their Faith that keeps them from the deeper meanings- as outlined in the Priest's structured post.

Obviously the Eucharist is a reason for many converts coming into the Church - though conversely, I just don’t see it as an opposite effect. I think though it is time that the Laity take a more active role in the Catechesis of the Faith… driving discussion of Eucharist and Confession- to exhibit the treasures Christ gave us. With the internet, its just beginning, and I think as this world goes deeper into the toilet, worship and renewed Faith will make a comeback.
Like a bio-rhythm that we can call a Theo-Rhythm.
As we well know, the World God has created is all about Rhythm.

Intuitively you would think a core faith belief of taking Christ into your body may be all-encompassing enough to hold the lapsing Catholic- but individualism more often wins out. "I decide what's right, I decide what's true, what I need"… Reasons for those who are leaving the Church in a weakened state of their faith, can be traced to the clergy scandals, the inability to confess sins, or as in the case of my siblings- a general disbelief and a lack of relevancy to even offer one hour on a Sunday to worhip God and all that has been given us. Lacking ggratitude on a basic level. Our society and its driving culture of materialism too easily replaces sacrificing oneself for God, Church or Neighbor. Its the easier road to take.

Well HE did say “these things are written so that you may ‘know’ you have eternal life”..... It’s not a guessing game or wondering if...it’s a certainty... or it’s not. There is no middle ground.

Thank God for His assurances that “It is finished!”

Frankly that image is one artist opinion. Not at all in my taste of Angelic beings. It is enough to know they are ‘majestic’ beings and certainly not cupid or girlish.

Angels exist in the Universe God created. The following two axioms apply:

Without time, events do not occur; without space a thing does not exist in the Universe God created. I credit Alamo-Girl for giving me that perspective.

I would also not that no less than Paul the Apostle said there are spirit bodies.

I would also note that Paul says we will be 'transformed' in a moment, int he twinkling of an eye, and John wrote that the transformation will instantly make us like Jesus is now in His Glorified body.

A Glorified body is existing in a greater variable expression of space and time, a realm not visible to what we are now. When Jesus appeared to the gathering in the locked and shuttered room following His resurrection, He was in their midst before he appeared to them, but 'in' a greater variable dimensional realm which is all around our current sensed realm. Jesus came from and went back into this realm more than once as recorded in The Bible.

After His crucifixion, Jesus left the stone tomb without going out the doorway. and He walked and broke bread with a couple of believers walking a road leading out of Jerusalem. He vanished from their sight after blessing and breaking the bread.

Some day soon we shall see Him as He is now in His Glorified Body because when He comes for us IN THE CLOUDS we shall be like Him, transformed into higher variable beings for the trip to the Father's House. He won't be visible to those who are not transformed. But when He comes to touch down on the Mount of Olives at the end opf the Tribulation, all living will see Him because He will descend into their limits well for the final battle in this realm.

I think of the angels in chariots that were surrounding the city.....and God opened their eyes so they could see.

God can alter any event happening or dimension of time and space he so chooses. As created of it all he has the reins on it all. His call no matter how we think we might have figured it out.

The first of the prayers in preparation for Holy Communion from the Divine Liturgy of St. John Chrysostom:

I believe and confess, Lord, that You are truly the Christ, the Son of the living God, Who came into the world to save sinners, of whom I am the first. I also believe that this is truly Your pure Body and that this is truly Your precious Blood. Therefore, I pray to You, have mercy upon me, and forgive my transgressions, voluntary and involuntary, in word and deed, in knowledge or in ignorance. And make me worthy, without condemnation, to partake of Your pure Mysteries for the remission of sins and for eternal life. Amen.

“Ezekiel” comes to mind:

Eze 1:6 And every one had four faces, and every one had four wings.
Eze 1:7 And their feet were straight feet; and the sole of their feet was like the sole of a calf’s foot: and they sparkled like the colour of burnished brass.
Eze 1:8 And they had the hands of a man under their wings on their four sides; and they four had their faces and their wings.
