What about Presbyterians and Baptists and so forth? I know I can’t trust the Catholic Church anymore.
Your advice could help me narrow down what might be worth checking in our area, I will deal with non-denominational independents on my own based on what’s available.
I’m not promising anything as I have other issues and the family to agree, but I’d like to have an idea of where I could try.
E.g., I did look up a local Presbyterian church that seems to be rock solid ignoring the silly PC stuff. We have many churches around so I’d have a lot to research. Your advice could help that along!
Hi...so sorry, didn’t realize I chose “Blogger” section rather than “Religion”.
Is there a way to change it?
Check out the Mormans. Serious suggestion.
Ever considered a home church group?
The Catholic Church is full of dysfunctional sinners. Not much has changed over 2 millennia, though it is a bit more out in the open now then at points.
Reformed Presbyterian, PCA (Presbyterian Church in America)
....as opposed to Presbyterian USA ( liberal, apostate)
Or most Southern Baptists
IMHO, anything autonomous really. The Pilgrims started The First Congregational Church of ____________(fill in city/town). Last I knew, the one in my home town was still independent. Many went Unitarian in a split. Baptist but not Southern Baptist is similar.
With autonomous/independent, it’s really a matter or the preacher and flock. Same with non-denominational. Could be good or not.
I Lutheran Church Missouri Synod - there are no issues of losing our way with this choice. Focused on Christ, the Bible, no progressive nonsense here. Can check out the Missouri Synod website to check our focus and what we believe.. Conservative.
Where are you?
How bout the church of the almighty buck? Just kidding. One of my favorite passages in the Bible is 2nd Corinthians 12.
Our church broadcasts on Facebook Live every Sunday if you want to try it out.
Pastor Owen describes our church as PresbyBabtiCostal.
Southern Babtist.
I recommend costa Mesa affiliated Calvary chapels.
We actually dont beleive in denominations as such, Christ is not divided, there is only one bride of Christ, one church.
The name is just reference to a line of association.
It’s a literal interpretation of the word believing church that generally teaches genesis to revelation verse by verse in order, not usually topic centered teaching on Sundays.
Heavy on worship.

Plain clothes Mennonite?
“any good or pure church denominations?”
Not really. Even the Southern Baptists have freaks and creeps in the upper levels pushing illegal immigration and SJW BS.
Maybe the local church will be okay though.
ucg.org. Be prepared to be challenged on your conception of what a church should be. First century, non-corrupted Christianity.
If you’re into hierarchy-run organized religion with lots of ceremony, this wouldn’t be for you - but if you like it simple, with “small-f” fundamental beliefs, you could look into what is sometimes called “Plymouth Brethren”.
(Not the Australian cult group)
They are pretty much Bsptist-like, except they have no clergy, the elders lead each individual church and hold “real” jobs.

If they fly the flag of Sodomite sin, give it a wide berth.
Pure, unadulterated, TRADITIONAL (as in, how the Church was in 1958, not the new stuff) Catholicism. Rather, where “sin is sin”, and one must repent and do pennance and believe the gospel, even as Jesus imparted it:
Namely, Catholics who reject all popes involved in the post 1958 era of “Vatican II”, and attend only the Latin mass in faithfulness to the constant teaching of the church, known as Sedevacantists, we who acknowledge that since faithful Pope Pius XII (1958) we haven’t had a valid pope.(A Sedevacantist is one who believes the chair of Peter is currently vacant.)

I think that the Evangelical Free church is still okay. You may want to see if you can find a good non-denominal church church in your area.
