"Creation"
G E N E S I S CHAPTER 1, VERSES 26-28 Then God said, “Let us make man in our image, in our likeness, and let them rule over the fish of the sea and the birds of the air, over the livestock, over all the earth, and over all the creatures that move along the ground.”So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them. God blessed them and said to them, “Be fruitful and increase in number; fill the earth and subdue it. Rule over the fish of the sea and the birds of the air and over every living creature that moves on the ground.”
CHAPTER 2:7-8, 15-20 …the LORD God formed the man from the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and the man became a living being. Now the LORD God had planted a garden in the east, in Eden; and there he put the man he had formed…. The LORD God took the man and put him in the Garden of Eden to work it and take care of it. And the LORD God commanded the man, “You are free to eat from any tree in the garden; but you must not eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, for when you eat of it you will surely die.” The LORD God said, “It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make a helper suitable for him.” Now the LORD God had formed out of the ground all the beasts of the field and all the birds of the air. He brought them to the man to see what he would name them; and whatever the man called each living creature, that was its name. So the man gave names to all the livestock, the birds of the air and all the beasts of the field. But for Adam no suitable helper was found. New International Version ©1984, Abrdgd, EMPHASES Added

"Potentially Inappropriate Video" Haha, they tried. Good one.
What could have been blocked? Thinking maybe the part where he was insinuating that "Rex" was only a perfect gentleman because he was light in the loafers -- close to his mother, something about recipes... Then in the bar "Rex" started talking about all that same stuff.
Meanwhile in the dark corners of Hollyweird.
Well my favorite scene is the cat's horrified reaction to the apartment.

...all Adam could say was "it was her idea." Worse than that--Adam actually blamed God Himself for giving the woman to Adam.

That too. Adam wasn't big on taking personal responsibility. Kind of creepy in an Eddie Haskel sort of way.
God must have known that Adam was immature and would need a lot of growing up.

God must have known that Adam was immature and would need a lot of growing up. This plays a part in the argument for a long sixth "day" of creation. These are among its elements:
* God had to transport Adam into the Garden after creating him
* Adam had to spend time studying the animals in order to name them appropriately
* Adam needed time to grow lonely
* God needed time to raise up Adam, who had not benefited from having a mother
* Adam needed time to recuperate from major surgery
It is worth noting that Eve, with her female brain and emotional system, would not have missed a mother's training to the extent Adam did.

Some comments: 1. a lot of artists portrayed God giving life to Adam by touching him. But scripture say He breathed into him and he became a living soul. Now was the breath air or spirit or both? In any event, it was like mouth to mouth resuscitation— much more intimate and personal than these pictures show.
2. Along the ‘personal touch’ theme, God formed Adam (red dirt) from the dust of the ground. I like the idea of God sculpting man from mud.
3. Navel or not? First, we don’t know for sure. Second, I lean toward a navel. Every other human has one, including Jesus, the second Adam. Since Jesus created him and made them in His image, Adam had a navel, as did Eve.

God blew His breath into Adam's navel and then tied it off like a balloon. Solves both issues: as Sherlock said, "When you have eliminated the impossible, whatever remains--however improbable--must be the truth."

#26 made me chuckle..
Adam.
And his faithful companion..
To: delchiante
It’s a unique take....My guess is the artist was saying Adam needed a better companion.

Elegant solution! However, realize Sherlock Holmes’ comment is not inspired, so it’s a crap shoot.

Blow too hard into Adam’s navel and the crap indeed will shoot.
