And he will be angry.
26For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins, 27But a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries. 28He that despised Moses' law died without mercy under two or three witnesses: 29Of how much sorer punishment, suppose ye, shall he be thought worthy, who hath trodden under foot the Son of God, and hath counted the blood of the covenant, wherewith he was sanctified, an unholy thing, and hath done despite unto the Spirit of grace? 30For we know him that hath said, Vengeance belongeth unto me, I will recompense, saith the Lord. And again, The Lord shall judge his people. 31It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God................
What a friend we have in Jesus....
Tha kfully though that passage is o ly talking about apostates- those that got close to being saved, but who never took the final step,of accepting christ as savior, who then turn around d and assign the miracles that Christ did in their presence to Satan. These folks partook in the miracles, were present when they happened, and as such had no right claiming that Satan was the author of the miracles. They knew better but hardened their hearts against c
Christ.
A pastor once said to someone worried that they might be an apostate and incapable,of being saved, “the fact that you are even worried about it shows that you are not one. The true apostate isn’t worried that they are an apostate because of their hatred for Christ, because they have hardened their hearts against him and want nothing to do with him.”
