So from the last two bullet points, can we gather that he thinks those of us who attend the Traditional Latin Mass are perverts, while sodomites are simply "diverse"? If he thinks that the latter need "accompanying", these "pastoral experiences" better include the Sacrament of Confession for the sake of all involved.

Sir, the concept of “papal infallibility” is limited to the very narrow situation of a pope specifically stating that he’s declaring “ex cathedra” some article of the Catholic faith. Bergoglio has never declared anything “ex cathedra,” and neither did any of his immediate predecessors. I believe that it last happened in 1950 when Pius XII declared ex cathedra that the Assumption of Mary into heaven was Catholic dogma.

I got banned from posting on EWTN’s Facebook site a few years back. I spoke badly of the Holy Father. I didn’t swear or threaten him. Someone obviously didn’t like what I said. of course, it’s their right to ban anyone.

But it’s funny now how EWTN has aroused the ire of the Holy Father. I wonder if they’ll still ban people who speak poorly of him on their website...?

Unfortunately, what the Pope often says makes it hard to find the benefit of the doubt, if at all, or even if he desires it or not. This is one of those offhanded comments again- and it keeps the focus on him.
In fact what the Pope said is very interesting. Don't write me letters- NOT the sodomy part, or "his" idea of Confession in contrast to the Church's- those are for sure ill-handled, muddled issues to be sure.
So the EXACT Quote- which provided the sensational, devlish headlines as it does - (and don't kid yourself- Headlines are ALL about the clicks these days.) is as follows:

I personally deserve attacks and insults because I am a sinner, but THE CHURCH does not deserve them. They (Attacks on the Church- my edit) are the work of the devil. That's how I interpret that. If the Pope is aware that HE DESERVES attacks and insults- how could he turn around and say that's the devil's work? Doesn't make Sense.
That's the interesting part- the Pope is "aware" he is purposefully doing something that would cause him these "attacks" - personally and so the devil's work has to be (the "They") are in attacking the Church- allegedly.

Now if he is saying EWTN is attacking the Church, which I have not seen (Mother Angelica R.I.P.)- than that it is obviously an issue -which most would think he is incorrect- that begs to be clarified, detailed and/or at least supported in some way. Though since the volume has been amped.. there is no room now for unambiguous clarification - especially when skin is so thin these days

I attended Catholic School and Church grades 1 - 12. I was an alter boy for years and I did have my Confirmation. My first brother is a Roman Catholic Church Priest. My parents were married in the church and did not practice birth control therefore ending with 9 children and they stayed married for 44 years until death did they part.

Having said that, when the Church got rid of a living Pope and replaced him with a marxist, socialist...I said bye bye. I’ve no use for Franky who you might note came from the the Continent of South America where 93% of self identified practicing Catholics live. Plus he decided that John 23rd was wrong when he said the Church should not be involved in politics.

There are many many things this Pope says and does that are indefensible.

Distorting what he says now and again for the purpose of pearl clutching/wrist slashing headlines is equally indefensible- and NO WAY TO THE TRUTH.

There was no "bending over backwards" required in showing how this misleading headline was written to garner eyeballs.

Do you NOT AGREE that it is the devils work to attack the Church?

This Pope has an agenda- he is admitting that. And he deserves his criticism like he is freely admitting. He does not seem to care. But he also knows- HE is NOT the Church.
