The born again spirit is with Jesus after physical death. 1 Thess 4 says GOD will bring WITH JESUS (from where He is) those who have died in Christ. The spirit of those, not the behavior mechanism or the physical body or atoms of same. The rapture will be an event where the spirits of those in Christ are placed into new glorified real physical bodies with new behavior mechanisms which have no sin history.
