I can’t remember his name but 35 or so years ago a Catholic bishop said that church tradition was more important than the Bible. His was back in my seeker days and was a factor in steering me into protestantism.

The question is, what specific beliefs under that umbrella term of “Protestantism” do you hold to?

For instance, the Lutherans and some Anglicans - at least the orthodox ones, are close to orthodox beliefs.

But other “Protestant” religions like
> Oneness Pentecostals who deny the Trinity
> Seventh Day Adventists who say Jesus is the angel Michael

etc. are deviations from Christianity
