To: Hebrews 11:6
The disciples seemed over protective and wanting to make decisions for Jesus. They needed a necessary lesson from Jesus, let the children be innocent and faithful role models for adults. Was at the time a pervasive attitude that children were not important? Why didn’t the disciples share Jesus’ perspective? Were there cultural, psychological, social, ethical reasons why they felt the way they did?

Good questions. Jesus shattered their misconceptions often, most famously:
* Jesus HAD to die
* Gentiles are welcome in His kingdom, too
* their spirits were willing but their flesh was weak
* they could and would stand for Him in the end
