The people who thought they were faithful Catholics under the Pre-Vatican-II catechism, have to realize that they are really just faithful Christians, with a direct connection to Jesus that can not be broken by any man.

If he gets his way, by the time Frankie is done with his fundamental change of the Catholic Church, people will search for Jesus but they will search in vain because he will be nowhere to be found.

. People will search for Jesus but they will not find him in the Catholic Church, he will be found elsewhere.

e elders of Rome — of the whole city, not a single congregation — elected a bishop to lead the local church, as did the elders in other towns. The epistles of Ignatius are very clear on that.

pray for an actual Catholic to become the next Pope & hope he will prayerfully abrogate everything this anti-Pope has implemented!!!

I remember it being said that Benedict would be the second to last pope according to some sort of prophecy. If true, the current heretic in charge at the Vatican will be the last pope.

"People will search for Jesus but they will not find him in the Catholic Church"

So, when He promised that "Wherever two or three of you are gathered together in my Name, there I am in the midst of them" - He lied?

Are you saying there was more than one congregation in Rome? Back that up. There was one congregation in Rome and it’s first bishop/Elder/pastor was Linus.

Gotta get it done before he becomes incapacitated or takes the big dirt nap. At that point the libtards will have lost control until they can get a new subversive in place.

Serious question: If Ben16 outlives this guy, does that have any impact?

As I said when this pope was elected, “this is a disaster!”

No. The only impact would be the unlikely scenario that Benedict starts making statements on these matters, and that would be unofficial, but definitely influential. He rightly considers that his retirement means he will not participate in anything that divides the Church.

Since Vatican II was a pastoral and not a dogmatic Council, there were no anathemas promulgated (at least none that I can find). The Novus Ordo was the Extraordinary mass coming out of the Council.

So, given the wishy-washy of documents coming out of VII and the very specific language from the Council of Trent with respect to the mass, are the anathemas from Trent still in effect?

People will find Jesus but not in the catholic church once Bergoglio gets through with his fundamental change of the catholic church.

No where to be found?

Jesus, the second person of the Holy Trinity is everywhere just as the Father and the Holy Spirit.

If the Latin Mass goes underground the Trinity will be there, and will be found by everyone present.

In the Catholic Church.

Actually, If I recall correctly, there is a specific New Testament passage of a prediction by Jesus himself I am alluding to. I may be mis remembering

Of course, wherever and whenever two or more people are gathered in his name, Jesus will be there. In a way, that is kind of hint regarding his comment above

Not sure what your comment means.

I’m an extreme latitudinarian Christian, and I hate the Catholic-Protestant pissing contests here. I think you have to play inside the four corners of the Gospel - you can’t dodge Mark 9:38-42, Matthew 16:18, or John 6:53-56, those are direct instructions from the Boss, but I accept that there are different human understandings of them that lead to divisions.

If you are trying to understand Him and trying to follow Him, then you are my brother in Christ.

If your understanding takes you to sodomy and baby-killing, I can’t see you on the team.

May I say how refreshing it for somebody here to admit to latitudinarianism. The unremitting dualism on this site, on whatever subject, even the most trivial, does get tiring.

When I was younger and someone asked a question with an obvious No answer, a common response was “Is the pope Polish?

Then JPII came along, and it was switched to the even safer “Is the pope Catholic?

Then this pope came along...
