Matthew 24 ans 25 were given to Jewish men asking about their religion’s end times. That is, Jesus spoke of what happens during the Tribulation/Jacob’s Trouble in the end times before He establishes his kingdom and reigns for 1000 years. When you bend scripture given to Jews about the Jewish end times centered on Jerusalem, you misapply the Word. Look instead at John 14, the Upper Room discourse, for the church is not taught by Jesus until John 14. The Olivet Discourse was given earliuer in the passion week than the Upper Room Discourse.

Jesus was talking to his covenant people, of which we are now grafted into (vine, promises, etc...) He might as well have been talking to Christians. There is NOW no Greek nor Jew, ONLY ONE IN CHRIST. No Literal Israel. PTR’s who believe that have been fooled by Satan and are being set up. They won’t see the lie until it’s too late. And, there are no second chances.

Biblical Judaism ended in 70 AD with the destruction of the temple, the end to the sacrifices etc.

only 2 2nd-temple Jewish sects remained:

1. the Jesus-movement, called Christians, who said in 33 AD that there was no need for sacrifices, that Jesus had already provided the perfect sacrifice and that they ate of His body and drank of His blood at each Eucharist on the Lord’s day and baptised entire families in the name of the Father-Son-Holy Spirit through the apostles and those in succession to the Apostles.

2. the Pharisees who had already set up synagogues led by rabbis, not priests and who, in the council of Jamnia created Rabbinical Judaism. This, then in 90 AD threw out the scripture that supported the Christians - such as the Deuterocanonical books etc.

When you bend scripture given to Jews about the Jewish end times centered on Jerusalem, you misapply the Word.

These scriptures apply not only to believing Jews but to all believers. See Mark 13:37:

And what I say unto you I say unto all, Watch.

Jesus isn't talking to just Jewish believers but to ALL believers.

Your narrow application of scripture is absurd on its face. Romans isn't just to the Romans. Galatians isn't just to the Galatians. Ephesians, Colossians, Thesalonians, Timothy, Titus, ..., all of these are not restricted to their immediate audience, but apply to all of us. Just as Sodom and Gomorrha are set forth as an example for us today. (Jude 1:7)

Matthew 24, Mark 13, refer to the gathering of all believers of every stripe, when Christ returns to rescue his own, not just Jews. Such a twisting serves to prop up the false doctrine of the pre-tribulation rapture, described nowhere in scripture. See my earlier criticism of the misapplication of the terms "tribulation". Jesus says in John 16:33:

These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.

Believers will not escape tribulation and many will suffer great tribulation at the hands of anti-christ. See After the Tribulation, 2nd ed. for a detailed presentation of the post-tribulation, pre-wrath rapture of the saints.
