Unless Carl is CORRECT about who the Antichrist/little horn/beast/man of sin/son of perdition power is. Carl IS CORRECT. And guess what? EVERY PROTESTANT REFORMER knew and publicly stated that the RCC was the Antichrist power. Many of the reformers went to their graves saying it as they were being tortured and then murdered by said Antichrist power. There is only one power that meets every biblical criteria for the Antichrist and that is the RCC. There is none other.

Here’s a few clues for you to consider:

1: It comes out of the 4th beast, WHICH IS ROME.
2: It will be a geographically small nation (a little horn..The Vatican).
3: It will rule over many people, nations and tongues (it will be universal)
4: It will be headquartered in the city of seven hills, (ROME).
5: Its priest-king will make great and blasphemous claims (claim to equal with God, claim to be able to forgive sins, and justify the persecution the saints of God).
6: It will claim its power to change the holy times and laws of God as its mark of authority.
7: It will be an apostate Church that makes the nations drink her cup of apostate doctrine.
8: It will be a “mother” Church, with apostate daughters coming from her.
9: It will be a persecuting power, killing the faithful saints of Jesus Christ as heretics.
10: It will hold power and authority for 1260 years following the fall of pagan Rome
11: It will suffer a deadly wound that will end 1260 years of dominance and persecution.
12: It will be revived after the deadly wound, and all the world would wonder at its revival.
13: It will rise to be a great power after the fall of the pagan Roman Empire (after 476 AD)
14: It would uproot three of the ten kingdoms the Roman Empire collapsed into.

The Antichrist power is the RCC. They have tortured and murdered more protestants (and many other groups of people) than any other entity in earth’s history, all in the name of religion and rooting out HERETICS.

The RCC meets every single biblical criteria for being identified as the Antichrist power. The RCC is Babylon. Some of the most sincere and decent Christians I have ever known have been Catholic. It’s not the people, it’s the system. Come out of her my people.

Phil, you will be quite surprised to learn then that many of your admired Reformer crowd BEGAN their defection movement on exactly that very claim of The Pope being the antichrist.. namely Luther..but also Wyclif, Hus, Zwingli among others. Nearly all who opposed the Church used the -Petrine office of the Papacy as antichrist- for a sales pitch to their new supporters. Admittedly. I dont know much about Henry the VIII and that movement- but I think he had reasons altogether different from the others

So yes...ridiculous as that Pope attack is now...it was NOT the case to attempt to destroy the Church starting 500 years ago.

AND so the pivot to the "RCC" Church as NOW being the anti-christ is equally silly, and thoughtless as well... as you have to know the Church has already been declared the Whore of Babylon to sell division to the DIY denominations.... SO WHICH IS IT TO BE???

Whilst you ponder the choice.... also think about naming another group (Global or otherwise) of people that has fed more people, educated more people, clothed and housed more people than the Catholic Church has since the beginning of Christ's ministry?

Christ declared that all but the ‘elect’ would be deceived... The elect were ‘chosen’ before the ‘foundation of this ‘age’ (world)... per Paul in Ephesians... This ‘before the foundation of the world’ is long form of Greek word kabatol which means, overthrow or casting down of the devil ... Genesis 1:2
