Excellent continuation of your series. The Annunciation is of course, and extremely popular subject in western art, usually depicted in grandiose, sweeping interpretations. One of my favorite is that by Dante G. Rossetti, which takes a different approach and is one of intimacy and vulnerability, making Mary's willing acceptance all the more profound.
There are several above, and more tomorrow and Friday, which seem to focus on Mary’s reactions as you assert. I find them to be my favorites, even as I highlighted the text quoting her willing acquiescence. She became our model in submitting to God’s will, and she is rightly honored as a result.
