Be convinced of these 4 biblical truths: 1. Each of us has sinned; 2. God is just, requiring a punishment for sin; 3. But out of love God sent His Son, Jesus Christ who by dying on the cross, provided forgiveness of sins in taking man’s deserved punishment; 4. Therefore, by faith alone in Christ’s sacrifice for our sins and belief in His resurrection, man can gain eternal life. (Ephesians 2:8-9, Romans 10:9-10, Romans 3:21-26)

Catholics don’t believe in the authority of scripture they believe the Catholic Church is the authority,
Never mind that Jesus is the cornerstone and Catholics are the reason we had the dark ages while they killed true Christians
Also never mind that revelation describes the Catholic Church as the great whore because of their false teachings

Boasting in your church again are we ADSUM?

Admit it ADSUM; the ancient church fathers were all Christian and not Catholic.

I just proved it.

And you responded by insulting me.

Thank you for your admission that you’re wrong and too proud to admit it.

reckoning which is very near to happening

At least we can agree on one thing. It is very close.

they obviously prick your floundering soul sufficiently to agitate the spirit that is in you.

I can assure you, you do not. Not in the slightest. You don't know the first thing about bringing people to Christ. You attack, degrade, and insult people. You are the opposite of Christ. The closer someone gets to Christ, the more Christ like they become. There is nothing in your words that is Christ like.

By their fruits you shall know them.

But you're right about one thing, it is close. And since it is so close, why don't we agree to let Christ judge between us?

All have sinned and fallen short. Even Mary. Another if the heresies and made up myths your sect teaches. Another catholic lie if you will since you love to call protestants liars.

Matt 25: 43 I was a stranger, and ye took me not in: naked, and ye clothed me not: sick, and in prison, and ye visited me not.

Eph 2:9 Not of works, lest any man should boast.

Those two scriptures are in harmony. In Ephesians, Paul is emphasizing the role of Jesus Christ in our salvation. I also notice you didn't quote verse 10, I wonder why?

Eph 2: 10 For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.

Salvation comes from Jesus Christ, but we are required to do the works He has commanded us to do, before He will give that salvation. "God hath before ordained" is pretty strong language. Which Jesus makes clear in Matt 25.

It is sad to see such ignorance reagarding The Lord Christ. Have you read Matthew 23? ‘Woe unto ye blind guides’

Matthew 25 was addressd to the Jews, not the Chucrh. Perhaps we see one of the reasons you do not comprehend the Gosel of Grace not grace plus gardener’s works.

What??????????? Harmony???

In Matthew those people are being admonished for not doing works and in Eph. they are told not to do any works...

I also notice you didn't quote verse 10, I wonder why?
Eph 2: 10 For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.

Because the good works we are ordained to perform do not come from us as in the verses in Matthew...Any good works we do are as filthy rags to God...The good works we do come from God...

You need to let the Holy Spirit teach you some scripture...

That and works are proof of salvation and commanded to us anyways.

But if Catholics admit that we do good works without having to earn salvation from them, their arguments about us being filthy sinners falls apart.

Why don’t you provide some basis that your protestant beliefs are based on the Bible as you claim? It is obvious that you avoid answering because they are not based on Scripture but on man’s personal opinion.

The Catholic Church can substantiate that the Catholic faith is based on the teachings of Jesus Christ, Sacred Scripture and the Magisterium. The Catholic Church has the authority and the keys to the Kingdom of Heaven to bind and loose from Jesus Christ. Yes, the Catholic Church were the original Christians and many left when they believed in heresies, even including the protestants 1500 years later. They are always welcome back before they die if they fully accept God’s Truths.

If you read and understand the Catholic Catechism and related teachings, you may learn that all of the Catholic faith is God’s Truth. Whether you accept God’s Truth is up to you. I suggest that you search and seek God’s Truth rather than relying on protestant personal opinion.

Even Martin Luther believed that Mary had received special graces from God, professing in a 1527 sermon:

It is a sweet and pious belief that the infusion of Mary’s soul was effected without original sin; so that in the very infusion of her soul she was also purified from original sin and adorned with God’s gifts, receiving a pure soul (On the Day of the Conception of the Mother of God).

“Why don’t you provide some basis”

We did.

You ignored it.

Your vanity in your religion blinds you.

Adsum, you are sincere in your belief that Jesus intended for you to eat His flesh and, against the OT and NT both, drink His blood.

I would like to know how you understand that the following verses should be taken. Can you do the things mentioned and live to tell about it?

Mar 16:17 And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues;
Mar 16:18 They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.

Do you believe that Jesus was speaking to the church not yet then founded in Matthew 25? The church that His disciples knew nothing about and which would be founded on the Gospel of Grace according to what was later taught to our dear brother Paul, the Apostle to the Gentiles by Jesus Christ Himself?

For reference:

Rom_11:13 For I speak to you Gentiles, inasmuch as I am the apostle of the Gentiles, I magnify mine office:

Rom_16:25 Now to him that is of power to stablish you according to my gospel, and the preaching of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery, which was kept secret since the world began,

Eph_3:9 And to make all men see what is the fellowship of the mystery, which from the beginning of the world hath been hid in God, who created all things by Jesus Christ:

Col_1:26 Even the mystery which hath been hid from ages and from generations, but now is made manifest to his saints:

The Body built on the Gospel of Grace is a one-time, unique body made up of believers in Christ Jesus and it has an end. It is not Israel, it is the Body of Our Dear Lord and Savior. Paul writes his epistles to this Body in accordance with his God-ordained ministry to the gentiles. Israel has promises yet to be realized but soon approaching. When God removes the Church, His focus will then return to Israel. God most definitely keeps His promises, and He will not fail Israel.
