Question. Are those who mistakenly supported the antipope during the Avignon papacy in hell?

Do you also believe Joe Biden has been legally elected as POTUS?

It depends on the culpability of the mistake.

The Cardinals who lied about the Pope surely bear much responsibility for their false witness. Those lies were from Hell. If someone were to sincerely believe the Cardinals’ direct testimony, would they be culpable at all?

But if someone were to sit in judgment not on facts, but on pride, to say in his heart: “I don’t agree with the Pope, therefore I will say he is not Pope”, they would certainly be culpable. And if someone chooses to believe not the sworn testimony of Cardinal-eyewitnesses to a Conclave, but the theoretical screed of some anonymous rando on the Internet, well then, by what authority does he believe the rando?

Do you also believe that fallacies are not lies?

Or do you know that fallacies are lies, and engage in them willfully because you are following your father in his works?

many conservative Christians, Catholic and even Protestant, may see communion with the Orthodox churches.

It would not surprise me, if the idolatrous Marxism that is infecting the Catholic church comes to take it over, that the liberal Lutherans will seek communion with the Catholics, and the conservative Lutherans and Catholics will seek communion with the Orthodox.

I am not a Catholic but I have worked closely with Catholics in the past.

IMO, the entire body of The Church Of Rome longs for the days of John Paul... I revered this man and would have considered meeting him to be a highlight of my life. His legacy is a selfless life of devotion to God and the Church...I miss him so much!

In answer to your question:

My father died at the early age of 58 years old, over thirty years ago in 1990, after raising nine children in the Catholic faith; and today, between the nine of us, he has 52 grandchildren of whom are devout practicing Catholics.

So, "Yes", all of us are following our father is his works!

How about a pope that says Hell doesn’t exist; that unsaved souls are merely extinguished?

Or that Jesus Christ was not Divine until His resurrection?

Or that adulterers may receive Holy Communion?

Or that Jews do need conversion to be saved?

Or says we talk too much about abortion, but goes on endlessly about global warming, the great reset, mandates abortion-tainted vaccines to all Vatican employees?

Or a “bishop of Rome” who has abandoned all the Catholics in Red China.

Or a callous clown that tells a woman who was pregnant with her eighth child, all by C-section that she was “tempting God” and Catholics need not breed like rabbits?

More Catholic whining about their duly elected Vicar of Christ?

For shame!

Bergiglio only claims to be Bishop of Rome.

IIRC, he rejected the role and title of Vicar of Christ.

Benedict’s resignation was faulty and hence inoperative. Thus Benedict is still VoC and Pope. Let’s all just admit it and move on, shall we?

ET,
This author is foolish. Why wallow and regurgitate all of the failings of this Pope if he is not the Pope?

What makes the papacy of Pope Francis such an extremely grave scandal is the very fact that he IS the Pope.

One good outcome of his scandal is the clarity we are enjoying about not only what Vatican Council II was all about but also the fall of the weird and absurd papolatry that many Catholics used to take refuge in.

We are in Luke Chapter 11. When I say “we” I mean everyone, not just faithful Catholics.

Read Revelations.

“The institutional church” is becoming as Revelations says it will - the great harlot.

“Christian biblical exegesis has historically associated the “whore of Babylon” (the great harlot) with the Antichrist of Revelation. The term “whore” has less to do with any sexual transgression and more on the act of idolatry — specifically, “whoring” the church to serve the political interests of rulers. “

In Bergoglio’s case, he is whoring the Catholic Church to put it in sync with the globalist advocates of “one world” government and a one-world “universal” (all faiths are O.K.) religion behind that government.

I love Protestants. Some of my best friends are Protestant. Welcome to the Catholic topic board, hope you enjoy your time here.

Were you the one who added the “LutherRightRePopes” keyword? I think you and the one who posted the article are fundamentally in synch.
