So many favorite pictures but the last one is absolutely nightmarish! Interesting that the cherubim have each four faces and that the ox, the eagle, the lion, the man, are also the attributes of the four Evangelists. Certainly is quite colorful. Their feathers remind me of peacocks' plumages.

Yesterday while preparing today's post for publication, I mused about how--had I both the skill and opportunity--I would have portrayed Ezekiel's vision. I realized how disappointed I am in all these artists' efforts, not with how they pictured the living creatures but rather with their inept renderings of the overall vision itself, which comprised yesterday's post. No one really captured it--few even tried. In 200 episodes it is the first time I've felt that.
