Certainly is quite colorful. Their feathers remind me of peacocks' plumages.

Yesterday while preparing today's post for publication, I mused about how--had I both the skill and opportunity--I would have portrayed Ezekiel's vision. I realized how disappointed I am in all these artists' efforts, not with how they pictured the living creatures but rather with their inept renderings of the overall vision itself, which comprised yesterday's post. No one really captured it--few even tried. In 200 episodes it is the first time I've felt that.

You are right. Our words or brushes will always be inadequate when the subject is the spirit world. Ezekiel spoke of his vision clearly but, as I read the text, it is my imagination that gives form to the totality of the vision. All we can do with these pictures is to admire the creative expression of the artists, their mystical experience.
