A very dear Freeper Bob Ireland just came down with a respiratory illness. If anyone would like to pray for his benefit, please do so. He is a very dear FRiend and does much good work for the cause of conservatism and has done for years.
❤🙏❤
Prayers up for all.
Take good care of yourself and get better fast. :)
Prayers continue for you Bob!
Prayers up.
Hope you’re feeling better soon.
:)
Thank you for the update, Bob. Prayers for your continued improvement.
I catch my husband doing that occasionally and he's healthy, more or less.
Prayers for your continuing recovery!
Lord Jesus, hear our prayers for Bob and his son.
In the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Ghost, amen.
Prayers lifted Bob!
Bob, let us know how you’re doing if you get a chance.
Prayers for your continued improvement.
Thanks, lj. I just got on my tablet; it is so warming to see the outpouring for an old FReeper like me.
I felt pretty good this morning and about mid-morning I thought I would spend a little bit of time hand trimming some bushes (you can probably already see where this is going.) After trimming off some small branches I noticed some higher branches interfering with smaller stuff. I got my long rope pull pole trimmer and started in on the two small overhead branches.
It was a bit of a dark day and the foliage was dark; I got my pole trimmer hung up on a larger branch that I couldn't see very well and try as I might I couldn't get it free (about 10 feet high.) Rain forecast for this evening (it never appeared!)
I finally rolled out a 100' extension cord, mounted my small electric chain saw on a pole, got out the big 8 foot step ladder and struggled up the ladder - a few times after repositioning it a few times so my tired arms could manage the weight of the saw on the end of that pole. Finally I cut the main branch which came down with my pole trimmer - and then I was completely worn out!
Fortunately the weekly yard guys came at that time and put away all the stuff including the ladders, rolled up the extension cord, carried off the scrap brush and made sure I got back to the house.
Well, color me stupid... feeling a little better and jump in to something I should have left alone and a little project turned into a major job! I was too tired to take a shower and for the first time in an age just drew a hot bath and sat in it for half an hour.
The good news is that by the (rainless) evening I am pretty much back to 'normal', plenty sore but no congestion. Praise God I will take that as a good sign: that I am on the mend AND that I am an aging wimp! :^D
Thanks to all for the prayers and good wishes. Hopefully I am over the hurdle for the sickness... there is no cure for stupidity.
Thank you so much for the update. DH is the same way - as soon as he is partly over an illness or pulled muscle or something, he’ll overdo.
Those of us in the “no longer young” crowd need to be carefully, takes longer to heal up and get well.
The hot bath always helps with sore msucles.
It’s good to know you’re doing better...but fer cryin’ out loud, don’t over-do-it!!
FRegards!

All right, dear fish wife. 😉
Prayers up.
Thankfully Bob has updated that he is feeling better. He is not young (like many of us) and has a few issues so prayers is always welcomed.
