Never much believed in turn the other cheek.
Never been much good at it, and don’t intend to be.
Stand tall, or don’t stand at all.
And folks can quote all the bible passages they want, all day long.
NOT defending your life is suicide, and suicide is a sin, so that pretty much ends the discussion.
Turn the other cheek is a cop out used by many wusses. In the context of the Bible it was meant to be taken to do that with your brothers and sisters in the family, not someone trying to take your life or the life of your neighbor. Many Christians nowadays will use anything they can to justify the chicken way out. Jesus didn’t chicken out, nor should we.
