there are 4 physicians in my family. 3 of us have had the vaccine already the 4th will when eligible
Do you know if the vaccine will protect against the mutated version of COVID in the UK? Thanks in advance.
so far i am not aware of any current version of the virus not protected by the vaccine.
Thank you. One additional questions, India and other countries are seeing very positive results with ivermectin, a 40 year old, well known, and very inexpensive drug. Here in the USA it is not approved for COVID-19. Any thoughts on this?
They did a study on a vaccine concocted for another coronavirus and did animal studies unlike these new vaccines. They tested the vaccine on ferrets which they passed with flying colors. That is until they caught the wild coronavirus. All of the ferrets' immune systems went absolutely haywire and every one of them died.
So, no. I think I will pass on being a guinea pig for Bill Gates.
I treat hospitalized patients and currently we are not using ivermectin in the hospital. I would love to see some large scale studies done both with prophylaxis and with early outpatient treatment to answer the question. As far as i’m concerned the jury is out.... Medicine is littered with things “everybody knows are true”’that turn out to be not so. I’d like to see some good large scale data
Why are we taking a vaccine that protects against a virus that has a 99+% recovery rate?
I 100% think the covid-19/corona virus exists. But I’m curious as to why we shut down a country/the world for a virus that has an over 99%+ recovery rate. And before the doctors and nurses freepers chime in, one of my daughters is a C-T nurse at Penn in Philly and wonders the same thing. And, none of the nurses she works with are taking the vaccine.
I think i the real crime is the use of hydroxychloroquine (which does not appear to work well) or ivermectin has become so political that the battle lines are drawn before any objective findings can be taken into account. it may be robbing us of good treatments or causing us to waste time with things that don’t really work... it cuts both ways. I wish we could take the heat out of it and collect data but in today’s climate i fear that will not happen any time soon
You don’t seem to want other opinions but you asked the question. To the group of people that don’t recover the vaccine would be a life saver. In addition you are speaking only if mortality. several weeks in an icu on a ventilator is no picnic even if you recover fully. The. there is lost productivity to people who are ill or quarantined. The death rate is not the only thing to be considered in the need for a vaccine. As for medical personnel who do not want the vaccine it is an individual decision. Having spent a lot of time at the bedside of the sickest individuals I will do what Incan to spare my loved ones from that.
Great description of how the mRNA vaccine works...
( an excerpt):
https://twitter.com/WheatNOil/status/1339624815137722368
“... So scientists took the blueprint for the asshole protein on COVID and made an mRNA version of it. Literally just the instructions on how to make that protein.
These instructions “are” the vaccine.
Let me explain....”
Some vaccines use aborted fetal cells.
Like you, he is a nice person in that he will give his insights to anybody who asks.
Stay safe and keep up the good fight
No; I won’t take it, even though I’m in a vulnerable demographic. Maybe in a year or two, after it’s been proven to be safe. And why don’t they just mix the stuff in with the regular flu shot so you can get both at once?
Thank you. stay well yourself
Hell no !
Double triple hell no !
I hope to wait at least 6 months to see if there are any unforeseen problems with it. I am over 65 and thus in the “death zone”./s
I just don’t like seeing this rushed into production and 2 different types out there.
Thanks for the most reasonable answer so far!
“You don’t seem to want other opinions but you asked the question”
Really? You mind read now? Fascinating.
How marxist of you.
Thanks for the reply. It’s eye-opening how the so called medical experts on FR can’t handle questions and would rather pretend that all freepers are stupid, lol.
“To the group of people that don’t recover the vaccine would be a life saver.”
It sure would. They should definitely be self quarantining or taking a vaccine.
“The. there is lost productivity to people who are ill or quarantined”
Hmm. Sure. But the whole quarantining is due to government mandates. For instance, my district (as opposed to the district I live in that has been opened since September 8th), has been closed since last March, then remote, then a week of hybrid, then remote again...based on nothing other than the Union deciding it was too dangerous for teachers to actually do their jobs. Nothing about anyone being actually sick. I had to stay home because the district decided I had to not because I was sick or exposed or anything else.So the quarantine is forced and not based on any science. Loss of productivity is forced.
“. Having spent a lot of time at the bedside of the sickest individuals I will do what Incan to spare my loved ones from that.”
Of course. The virtue signaling.
Well, I will do all I can to spare my loved ones from living in a dystopian society controlled by a few who want to control the lives of everyone.
And Thank God that the nurses my daughter works with, as well as the doctors (at PENN!!!) won’t force this sham on employees. It’s still voluntary.
So we shut down the world for a virus released by china and fauci and gates and the ilk, with a 99+% recovery rate.
Live free or die. I’m good with that. And a virus isn’t a reason to negate The Constitution or live in a bubble. And taking a vaccine for a virus that has shown it’s 99+% recoverable is just odd.Unless, there’s something else we’re not being told?
And again “To the group of people that don’t recover the vaccine would be a life saver.” Maybe just like the flu since those same people don’t recover from that either. Even with a vaccine.
With all the misinformation, do you really question why so many question this?
What is the covid 19 asymptomatic rate? Supposedly it is 40-50%. So I think I want to know if I have had it before I take some brand new type of serum that alters rna somehow to hopefully protect me when I could have had it already and not even known it. Or at least hear about why that logic is wrong, which could very well be, I’m no expert.
