“Oh, but it does! It proves that Scripture is sufficient for knowledge of salvation. Which is the actual definition of sola scriptura, as opposed to the Catholic lies that your sources keep telling about us.”

Except when you actually look up what many Protestants teach sola scriptura is, you get this:

“Sola scriptura means that Scripture alone is authoritative for the faith and practice of the Christian.”

That’s a much more broad definition than what you are claiming. https://www.gotquestions.org/sola-scriptura.html

So apparently Protestants can’t agree with Protestants when even using sola scriptura to define sola scriptura.

“Sola scriptura means that Scripture alone is authoritative for the faith and practice of the Christian.”

***

So your argument is that you quote some random website that I never agreed to and demand to know why I don’t believe it?

Shall I now reply that you must endorse everything that Pope Francis says or else you’re not Catholic?

What a stupid argument.

“What a stupid argument.”

It’s a far better argument than what you’re making. After all you’re essentially claiming I’m making a strawman argument - when I just (and easily so) showed I’m not.

“So your argument is that you quote some random website that I never agreed to and demand to know why I don’t believe it?”

Subjective much?

Man, you keep making this so easy for me. At least make a rational and consistent argument with some sort of logical framework and objective angle! Try.

Silly vlad.

If I were to say that Catholicism is run by 100% kiddy diddlers that you have to obey or else go to Hell, THAT would be a strawman.

We all know it’s only 65%.

All I did was mock that statement of yours and how fast you changed the subject when I proved sola scriptura is in Scripture.
