You apply verses that are intended for Jews to the Church (or everyone else) and you apply verses intended for the Church to Jews (or everyone else).

There is only one church and that is Christ. There is neither Jew nor Greek, Just one in Christ. Literal Jews are out. We are all grafted into the vine, heirs to the promise given to God’s original chosen people, Israel. We are now Israel.
That is what happens when someone is a DIY theologian and is so convinced he alone has the corner on all truth. Some people aren't "teachable" and they close their ears to anything that might contradict their conclusions. A lot of pride there. We can pray that God softens their hearts to receive the knowledge of the truth.
