When one says that they believe, but reject God’s Word and the Church Jesus founded, they probably do not truly believe, as they believe in false teachers and not the Word of God.

A scenario:

A recovering homosexual gives his life to Jesus. Shortly thereafter he goes back into the lifestyle and concludes that he can be a Christian and a homosexual. Years later he dies of natural causes, in the arms of his husband. What does the bible say about this?

To be fair, the Septuagint (the Greek translation of the Old Testament) and the Latin Vulgate ascribe a few more psalms to David, which brings the count as high as 85.

Which psalms were not written by David?

The rest, of course! =)

At the base of the columns on either side of the central entrance door of St. John Lateran, the Cathedral of the Bishop of Rome, the pope, the inscription reads:

SACROS(ANCTA) LATERAN(ENSIS) ECCLES(IA)
OMNIUM URBIS ET ORBIS
ECCLESIARUM MATER
ET CAPUT.

It translates to “Sacred Lateran Church, Universally for the City and the World, Supreme Mother of Churches”, or “Holy Lateran Church, Mother and Head of all Churches in the City and the World”, a fulfillment of Revelation 17:5.

Rev 17:5 And upon her forehead was a name written, MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH.

Rev 17:18 And the woman which thou sawest is that great city, which reigneth over the kings of the earth.

Rev: 18:And after these things I saw another angel come down from heaven, having great power; and the earth was lightened with his glory.
2And he cried mightily with a strong voice, saying, Babylon the great is fallen, is fallen, and is become the habitation of devils, and the hold of every foul spirit, and a cage of every unclean and hateful bird.
3For all nations have drunk of the wine of the wrath of her fornication, and the kings of the earth have committed fornication with her, and the merchants of the earth are waxed rich through the abundance of her delicacies.

Some of the kindest and best Christians I have ever met were/are Catholics. God is telling you to get out while you can.

6 And he shall turn the heart of the fathers to the children, and the heart of the children to their fathers, lest I come and smite the earth with a curse.

Perhaps the greatest sign preceeding the coming of Christ .... and yet, the only thing you know is that Christ won’t be sending him to you!!!

you have no participation in the mission of Elijah which ramps up to the second coming of Christ.

By your own acknowledgement, the events preceding the 2nd coming will not include you!

And I want you to repeat this in my memory and give My Body and My Blood to all my followers in the Church. For this is truly Me. I will abide in you and I will abide in you.

Must be nice to snippet hunt and piecemeal words from different verses like a kidnapper's ransom note to ADD to God's word. You're trying to make Jesus say things He did not say in order to exalt your religion over the truth of the gospel! It won't work. Be warned...He doesn't look kindly on such things.

    I testify to everyone who hears the words of prophecy in this book: If anyone adds to them, God will add to him the plagues described in this book.(Revelation 22:18)

    And if anyone takes away from the words of this book of prophecy, God will take away his share in the tree of life and in the holy city, which are described in this book. (Revelation 22:19)

    Every word of God is flawless; He is a shield to those who take refuge in Him. Do not add to His words, lest He rebuke you and prove you a liar. (Proverbs 30:5,6)

You know, Elsie, my mother who is resting in Jesus in the cold soil of North Dakota, waiting for the sound of the Good Shepherd's voice when he returns and she is caught up in the clouds for the return trip to heaven told me something I'll never forget!

She said: "never engage with someone who tries to counter each position you share with them with a question instead of stating their position in response, because you can convince a man (or woman) against their will, but they are of the same opinion still! It's called an exercise in futility so I just don't do that.

In my early FReeping days I used to do that and did fairly well during the scorched earth flame war threads but later I learned hardly any of us ever won any of those wars, even with asbestos underwear. Thus most of the fun just evaporated along with too many once satisfying FReeper relationships...
