First let me mention that there may be
........................................
Permit me to stop you right there. The words “may be” perfectly describe every “faith” belief. And that is what I’ve been alluding to in all my responses to the Fundamentalists on this thread who fail to understand that foundational point.
If you substitute one's own personal view for "a return to fundamental principles", then yes, I agree with you. But then you yourself stumbled over the same block by your strong belief there will be no one raptured out of the coming Apocalypse - no?
I can find something, and have, to disagree with everyone here about on some subject, or other. The great majority will forget the one actual fundamental tenet of Christianity, to love each other, and deride and curse those who don't believe as they. Humans on whole are arrogant, selfish, ignorant, and devilish beings, to be frank.
We all are subject to displaying one or more of these characteristics from time to time. That a creator would love us, despite our shortcomings, is evidence of true love.
