Father, we come to You in the name of Jesus, praying along with the psalmist (13),
How long will You forget us, O Lord? Forever? How long will You hide Your face from us?
How long must we lay up cares within us and have sorrow in our hearts day after day? How long shall it appear that our enemies are exalting themselves over Your righteous ones? Lighten the eyes [of our faith to behold Your face in the pitchlike darkness], lest we sleep the sleep of death, and our enemies say, “We have prevailed for them; and those that trouble us rejoice when we are shaken.
But, we have trusted, leaned on, and been confident in Your mercy and loving-kindness; our hearts shall rejoice and be in high spirits in Your salvation. We will sing to the Lord, because You have dealt bountifully with us.
We trust in Your goodness in the darkness as well as in the light for You are so very good to our United States of America and our righteous (in right standing with You) leaders. Amen.
Please hear our prayer, Dear Lord. We need YOU! Please lead and guide those of us who have fallen behind. Amen.
