The biggest threat to Christians is the teaching of a pre-tribulation rapture

....The vast majority of popular churches teach that believers will be called up to Heaven before the tribulation. Simply stated, the Bible does not support this claim.

...

In many scriptures of the Bible, there is a “falling away” or discussion of great deceptions that are coming to the world. It has been hard for believers in Christ to comprehend the possibility of the masses falling away from Christianity because faith has been a powerful part of society for nearly two millenniums, but we are seeing it today. Moreover, we are seeing the spreading of a seed that will cause further apostasy among believers in Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior: the myth of a pre-tribulation rapture.

The not-so-simple answer is that Satan is pushing this as part of his agenda. It is Satan that rules the earth. His goal is to pull as many people away from the faith as possible, which is why he and his minions began deceiving Christians at their core starting in the early 19th century with the doctrine of a pre-tribulation rapture. He has brought about and continues to bring about waves of deceptions to pull people away from even considering the Word of the Bible, but this particular deception is to attack those who are wanting to be strong in their faith. It’s designed to shake the spirits of the believers to the point of non-belief.

Think about it. If you make people believe that they are not going to face suffering, that they are “special” and will avoid all of the troubles that will engulf the world, then they are weakened as a result.

There is going to be a pre-trib rapture. The way things are going now, with all the churches falling into apostasy, no one who is left behind will notice and most people will rejoice that all those fundamentalist Christians are gone.

The biggest danger to Christians today is the crap being spewed from apostate pulpits.

The book of the Apocalypse is not poetic language - that’s in the Song of Songs.

The book of the Apocalypse is in the vein of other apocalyptic writing - most notably Daniel and a few verses in Matthew, but then also Jeremiah, Hosea, etc.
It uses dramatic imagery of cataclysmic disruptions to describe changes within the human political sphere - like Isaiah 30:26 promises that “the light of the moon will be as the light of the sun, and the light of the sun will be sevenfold, as the light of seven days, in the day when the Lord binds up the hurt of His people and heals the wounds inflicted by His bloe”

notice how the number Seven is used symbolically?

we notice this again in Isaiah 60:19-20 “Your sun shall no more go down, nor your moon withdraw itself”

So to sum up - not poetry, rather part of apocalyptic literature is the vision of John of Patmos.

There’s gonna be a lot of things that will surprise Christians when Yeshua (Jesus) returns. For one thing, he’s going to be a lot more Jewish than most people currently believe. Unfortunately, out of anti-Semitism, or just plain ignorance, the Jewish holidays that are described in Leviticus chapter 23 were all but eliminated from holidays Christians currently celebrate. As stated in the Bible, when the children of Israel left Egypt, they weren’t the only ones who left. “And the children of Israel journeyed from Rameses to Succoth, about six hundred thousand on foot that were men, beside children. And a mixed multitude went up also with them; and flocks, and herds, even very much cattle.” ‭‭Exodus‬ ‭12:37-38‬ ‭KJV‬‬ https://www.bible.com/1/exo.12.37-38.kjv That mixed multitude was also expected to celebrate the same holidays and take up the same practices as the children of Israel. “One law and one manner shall be for you, and for the stranger that sojourneth with you.” ‭‭Numbers‬ ‭15:16‬ ‭KJV‬‬ https://www.bible.com/1/num.15.16.kjv Yeshua celebrated all of the high holidays and feasts described in the Torah. Additionally, He said He did not come to destroy the Torah but to fulfill it. Also, there was very little, if any, discussion about a Pre-tribulation rapture for the first 1800 years after Yeshua’s crucifixion. It would also be a real slap in the face to those early believers who are fed to the lions, crucified, burned at the stake, or whatever else they had to endure if today’s believers got a pass and were raptured out of here prior to the Tribulation. You know, we Americans really have had it fairly easy with persecution as compared to the rest of the world. We have not suffered like believers have in countries like Saudi Arabia, Iran, or Communist China. There may come a time when we too will have to endure as believers in those countries have had to do. If or when that time comes, I believe the Lord will equip us to triumph under those conditions.

It s also the only book of the Bible that promises a blessing to those who read it. It is not u knowable and fits exactly with the OT prophets major and minor. Our God is wonderful and tells us the end from the beginning

I only answer this question for those folks here who might wind up going down the wrong path (not for the author of the piece, for if he knows the truth chooses not to believe anyway).

Yes, the Holy Bible does not use our current English word “rapture;” the Bible also does not use our word, “trinity” nor does it use the word “homosexual” but it surely does mention all three words in more than one place with actual descriptions of all three; homosexual - Leviticus 20:13; Trinity- Matthew 28:19, 2 Corinthians; Rapture - 1 Thessalonians 4:17!

The Bible is a book of word pictures and concepts, which to the “wise of this world” are mere folly. “He catches the wise in their craftiness.”

No, it’s written about the pre-Trib stories that arose in the 19th century and led to the Jehovah’s Witnesses, pre-Trib rapturists and Mormons is pretty exclusive to this neck of the woods.

Millions of Christians are suffering under persecution and WERE also suffering under persecution. Going backwards chronologically

> the Islamic state,
> the nazi attack on christianity (as the “Jewish savior religion”)
> the armenian genocide
> the mexican persecution of christian
> the french revolution attack on christianity
> The japanese genocide of christians
> Tipu Sultan’s slaughter of Christians
> Tamerlane (Timur-e-Lang’s) genocide of millions of Christians in Iran, Georgia and central Asia in the 14th century
> The slaughter of christians by Caliph Muawiyah

etc. etc - right back to the biggest attack which kille dthe largest % of christians - the persecution by Nero along with the Pharisees in the time 55 to 70 AD

Gosh.....’pre trib’ rapture?

I guess my brothers and sisters worldwide forgot to read the fine print on getting out of harsh persecution… I guess Jesus just doesn’t love them… so sad!

Every Month

105: churches attacked, burned or vandalized each month, in the top 50 WWL countries
Every Day

11: Christians killed every day for their faith, in the top 50 WWL countries.
By the Continent

1 out of 6: Christians in Africa that experience high levels of persecution.

1 out of 3: Christians in Asia that experience high levels of persecution.

1 out of 21: Christians in South America who experience high levels of persecution.

After all WE deserve to ‘get out without a scratch’.....sounds good right?

...just like God the Father has ALWAYS delevered his chosen out of death......

...Oh wait.....

GROW UP LAST DAY CHURCH....

"authoritative statements on matters open to interpretation"

Did you think about that before you wrote it?

Where does that "authority" come from?

If that "authority" is valid, how is it possibly "open to interpretation"?

How comforting is it to look for the antichrist arriving and the wrath of God poured out on this planet and its inhabitants? Paul's closing words in 1 Thess 4:13-18 were 'comfort one another with this teaching (of the pre-tribulation snatching away of the Body of Christ).

The poster is blind to truth. He/she is working for the wrong side, and mocking and lying are clear signs of that. It keeps pinging we who believe and have scripture to back up our beliefs, pinging us as a means to get a dust up started in which the poster can mock and lie openly. Its a Catholic thing dontchaknow.

Beginning in 2011, the message I keep getting in daily prayerful meditation is:

Rise above everything. God’s plan is unfolding exactly as it is to unfold. God is in control.

The Tribulation has to do with DANIEL's people, ISRAEL, and the City where Jehovah has chosen to place His Name.

Yes, the Tribulation haD to do with Christians - from 60 AD to 69 AD when they were persecuted by Nero and by the Pharisees.

The book of revelations writes about the destruction of Jerusalem in 69 AD - when it was utterly torn down (the western wall is the western wall of the foundations, not of the temple itself)

Christians remembered Jesus words where He told them to run for the hills :) and not to wait

All the Christians in Jerusalem ran before the siege and not a single Christian died in the siege

the Tribulation is not tribulation that all of us face, some more than others. It is known in the OT as the time of Jacobs trouble. it is a specific 7 year period of time when Gods Wrath is poured out on an unbelieving world.

As Christians we will face tribulation but not the Wrath of God which will be truly shock and awe. The only other time God poured out His wrath was during the flood and He protected His own in the ark as He will protect His Church through the rapture. Christ endured Gods wrath in our place so we do NOT have to suffer it.

The results of this fake pre-Trib philosophy is there to be seen

1. the Jehovah’s Witnesses were built on this - and thye have been constantly pushing back the dates for the end of the world. So the pre-Trib leads to more non-Christian belief

2. the constant change in dates is pushing more people away from Christianity.

So we see it among the Pre-Trib rapturinos how they shun the Bible and what Jesus actually says. This leads to them moving further and further away from Christianity and at the same time pushing others away from Christianity too

Jesus comes to THE FIRST HEAVEN to get HIS Body of Believers since the Day of Pentecost when Peter preached. We who are transformed in a moment int he twinkling of an eye, go UP IN THE CLOUDS to meet the Lord in the FIRST HEAVEN, the air. If you want to stay behind and meet the antichrist, GOD will let you. Just keep spitting on HIS WORD and depending upon your works ...
