I was about to make a crude comment on muslim oral traditions but thought better of it

Muslims must now find another way to handle preservation of their own scriptures, as well as interact with Biblical text criticism more responsibly and consistently.
Ha Ha. You are joking , right?

I like the extra-soft 2-ply version.

Doesn’t matter.
The Quran spelled out the perfect feudal system for Man.
Communism replaced the feudal nobility with the Party, Quran gave them religious power too.

But of course, the Muslims will tell you that their oral tradition holds that their oral tradition has always been carried faithfully and accurately throughout their history.
This is because their written history (begun over 150 years later) perfectly matches their oral history!

Not sure it matters. Garbage in. Garbage out.

The original Koran was copied five times and the original destroyed by some imam way back after Mohammad died. Mohammad didn't write the Koran, his meandering poetry plus plagiarism from the OT was put into a book. That book was the one copied then destroyed. That imam guy plus his cronies added a bunch of stuff and put it out as Mohammad's writings.
Pork BBQ's unto him.

No.
Uthman burned several other versions of the Koran.
The earliest mosques have their Qiblah pointed towards Petra (which matches the description of Mecca more than Mecca itself) and not Mecca, which was a barren and forsaken area when Moh was rampaging around the Middle East.
