Wow, this looks promising.
But hurricanes are sneaky. My long-dead ex, born and raised in Key West, was there for the worst storm in history, the deadly Hurricane of 1935. He took me around the island and showed me places and things wrecked by the storm, railroad tracks picked up and hurled, bodies hanging over tree limbs, etc.
Taught me about how a certain hurricane blew over lover Florida to the Gulf leaving wreckage in its path and then turned back and decimated other towns inland. Taught me how to read the hurricane tracker maps available in all the supermarkets, which is why I left in time to avoid Andrew.
So yes, let’s definitely pray that it keeps turning out to sea and doesn’t return to wreck states further north.
