For the serious and pure of heart.
St Justin referred to the distribution of wine and bread, the eucharist in 155 in his letter to the emperor describing the mass as it was in those days.

It was the last time someone demonstrated to me that I made one; this isn't one of them.
Nevertheless, you're old: if you're willing to employ such intemperance just to save face, you've got more immediate problems than arguing with me.
How you can read the information I posted and not realize you were wrong is beyond belief. Do you need someone to explain it to you? Post a request and someone who cares about you will come along.
One of the roles of the “old” is to pass wisdom and understanding to the young. Unfortunately people like yourself make up their mind they want something and then lie to support it or ignore what is in front of their face.
As I said in latin, find another teat to nurse on.
Because nothing you posted actually backs up your claim, that being that the miracle of Pentecost was a Mass.
I didn’t say the miracle was a mass. I said it let them speak in local languages. They spoke to crowds, wrote letters (see Paul) and held rituals in people’s houses. Not all of these activities were masses as you try to spin your way out of a bad position. . The rituals with the eucharist ARE the foundation for the mass later standardized by the church.
The mass is a rite and you said it includes the eucharist. I didn’t disagree. I posted evidence that the eucharist was part of the christian rites, when they went into people’s houses and preached the gospel. Justin even uses the word eucharist in his letter to the emperor to explain the Christian rituals. And Pull admonished them to make sure everyone has a chance for bread as Jesus showed them
THAT made it a mass by your own definition.
You ignore the historical evidence because you want the latin mass so much you are blinded by facts. Just admit the early mass was not in Latin. How hard is that for you. You can’t possibly hang onto the a lie, our mistake, in the face of overwhelming evidence. Once youkinow the truth to continue with falsehoods is a lie.
WHAT?
Check the thread; I never said the early Mass was in latin. The Church eventually standardized on latin. However, Pentecost had nothing to do with Mass, and your unattributed cut/paste job does nothing to support such an assertion.
I guess you kissed the cites, Justin’s letter and failed to follow the links to their source.
Now you admit my main point. Thank you, finally. See how easy it is to tell the truth and are up yourself. You could have done this early and saved yourself some grief and embarrassment.
Good bye.
What grief and embarrassment is that? Seriously. You argue like an offended woman.
Discuss the issues all you want but do not make it personal.

These type of protestors need to fall on their knees and ask Mary for humility.
Fyi for non-caths, this article explains a bit about why we reverence the Blessed Mother. It is not argumentative, just FYI.
I can never remember if it is a closed discussion or not.
We are finished..
I apologize for losing my patience.
There were two of us being personal.
