I think I partly understand but like I have said I do not argue if Mary is the mother of God because I don;t know.
Keeping it simple I realize that not all protestants believe that Jesus was God in the flesh but most of them commenting to me seems to.
It is my understanding that the Catholics believe that Jesus is God in the flesh therefore Mary being the mother of God.
The protestants who also believe that Jesus is God in the flesh deny that Mary is the mother of God which keeping it simple is not only hypocritical but stupid.
Mary herself said she was a sinner........
Maybe you are seeing something between the lines that I don`t see.
If she is Full of Grace as the Bible says, how can she have sin?.........
She had no sin and therefore found favor in Gods eyes.
I’m RCC. I pray to God.
I am not RCC but I believe as you do and yet I believe Mary was innocent in both body and spirit which is why she was favored.
I think you should learn what a protestant is before you start making so many wrong assumptions. And please quit calling people stupid. There are many quite learned individuals on this thread and I do not believe anyone here is stupid.
Nowhere in scripture are we told to pray to anyone but God..........
Well you finaly got something right, it must be a glich.
I am finished replying to your personal attacks and name calling. No one here is stupid as you keep calling us, and you get nastier as it goes. You post no scripture to back up your claims. Personal insults and name calling are the last resort of those losing the argument.
Nothing more, nothing less..........
I agree but she is getting much less from some of the prods.
So what’s the big deal if Mary had more children?
Why does the thought that Mary and Joseph having a normal marriage that included sex and children throw Catholics into such a tail spin?
No. The vulgate translation is not correct.........
it is more correct than anything else.
Original Greek and Hebrew, brah.
You are not providing the evidence AGAIN.
All your excuses mean only one thing, and that’s that you do not have support for what you are claiming.
Otherwise, there’s no reason not to post asked for information.
Chapter and verse?
Just wow.....
If God is eternal, then He cannot have a mother.
What kind of god do you believe in then?
It is my understanding that the Catholics believe that Jesus is God in the flesh therefore Mary being the mother of God.
Which is NEVER found in Scripture.
The argument that *Mary is the mother of Jesus and Jesus is God therefore Mary is the mother of God*, leads to the following conclusions using the same (for lack of a better term) *logic*:
If Mary is the mother of God and God is the Trinity, then Mary is the mother of the Trinity.
That puts Mary above the Godhead, makes Mary deity, makes her the mother of God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit, making them created, finite beings with beginning.
It totally messes up all kinds of theology.
Do Catholics EVER think through what they have been spoon fed for their entire lives, cause it sure doesn't look that way with the arguments they use.
I'll stick with agreeing with the Holy Spirit in what He inspired in Scripture: *Mary, the mother of Jesus*.
That way, I KNOW I can't be wrong.
The Holy Spirit is clear in Scripture in calling Mary *the mother of Jesus*.
John 2:1 On the third day there was a wedding at Cana in Galilee, and the mother of Jesus was there.
John 2:3 When the wine ran out, the mother of Jesus said to him, They have no wine.
Acts 1:14 All these with one accord were devoting themselves to prayer, together with the women and Mary the mother of Jesus, and his brothers.
If Mary had no sin, she did not need a Savior.
However, if she experienced God's grace, that means conclusively, that she was a sinner as only sinners can experience grace. Grace only kicks in in the presence of sin.
Romans 5:20 Now the law came in to increase the trespass, but where sin increased, grace abounded all the more,
If she were sinless, she would not be *favored* by God, she would be getting what she deserved, which is NOT grace, it's justice.
You only need Yeshua as your Savior if you're a sinner.
You gave me nothing but speculation.
I would stop feeding the troll.....
