You would not answer my question so I assume that you believe
revelation has all been fullfilled at the destruction of Jerusalem

At any rate the only way Jerusalem could have been the whore of revelation
17 is for it to have happened at that time and it didn’t.

It is plain from history that the holy Roman empire played a big part in all
of this and you can not just hide their part in it.

A good teacher will answer a direct question and your belief on this leaves
too many unanswered questions, you assume that Jesus and his apostles did not
know there was more world out there but how do you know?.

Also when Jesus was resurected he took others with him that was to live and reign
with Christ a thousand years and to be kings and preists,revelation
20:4and5. but the rest of the dead did not live again until the thousand years were
finished.

We know this could not have happened at that time, it has happened since under the
rule of the holy Roman empire.

So we know very well that revelation could not have been fullfilled at that time and
still not completed.

Since this thread has already ramped up to 201 replies before I've even seen it; I doubt that I would be posting anything new.

 

I guess all the folks over the centuries that have translated the Greek into languages in use today messed up badly while

translating this verse that has been so meticulously picked apart here.

I do; however; find it strange that the verses just PRECEDING this #17 seem to gotten little attention:

1 Thessalonians 4:13-16

The Coming of the Lord

13 But we do not want you to be uninformed, brothers, about those who are asleep, that you may not grieve as others do who have no hope.

14 For since we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so, through Jesus, God will bring with him those who have fallen asleep. 15 For this we declare to you by a word from the Lord,4 that we who are alive, who are left until the coming of the Lord, will not precede those who have fallen asleep.

16 For the Lord himself will descend from heaven with a cry of command, with the voice of an archangel, and with the sound of the trumpet of God.

And the dead in Christ will rise first.

There are more than 24 times zones across the earth as well as two differing days at any one instance.

This 'rapture' thingy we Christians are; ahem; 'discussing' has NO bearing on a persons salvation.

It's one of those things that are covered by:

Romans 14:1 niv

Accept the one whose faith is weak,
without quarreling over disputable matters.

...it is a piece of fiction that we see the Jehovah's Witnesses and Seventh Day Adventists went hysterical about and now are spreading to others

Except the JWs preach that THIS earth will be getting renewed for us to live on; totally ignoring the burned up scriptures (2 peter 3:10) and the NEW earth one as well. (Revelation 21:1)

Your post says 7/24/19, 8:04:52 PM, not AM, as you indicated. That is 12 hours ahead of the east coast, but sometimes it registers a different time zone. It’s weird.
