>>You know, time and again, we’ve challenged Catholics to focus only on Jesus for a whole month.<<

>> Ignore the Mary stuff. Don’t pray to her or give any attention to her. Take all that time praying to her and focusing on her and spend it with Jesus, praying to Him and focusing on Him.<<

Would you accept this challenge?

One month with no Hail Mary's, no morning prayers to Mary, no prayers to Mary....nothing directed to Mary. Put away your "statue" and pictures of Mary.

Focus on only praying to God.

Would/could you do this?

I’m told that the reason is that in Roman Catholicism, God is utterly unapproachable, judgmental, and not at all merciful. So they need intermediaries because the direct attention of God is not as a loving Father but as a furious judge.

Now I don’t know how true that is all over the place, but I know it’s true some places.

The forthcoming "why not" should prove interesting.
