Do you agree?

Did John?

1 John 5:13

I write these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God so that you may know that you have eternal life.

Thanks, that's the point I was making in response to someone's claim that Protestant churches are in communion with each other even though there are doctrinal differences.

Your problem, though is that one example where that does not happen, does not mean it's an across the board situation for all Protestant churches.

There are other non-Catholic churches where people of different denominations share the pulpit and communion.

You have not proved your point.

Why are you working so hard to cause division and pit non-Catholics against each other?

I'm not. I'm just refuting a false statement that was made.

Jesus is the Life Preserver.

The "Queen" Mary is the sinking ship one needs to get far away from or be sucked under.

the downside is praying to a created being rather than the creator.

You apparently don’t get that doctrinal differences are not that which we sue to determine whether we are in full communion or not.

I am in communion with those in different denominations, not because of doctrinal stand, but because of the common salvation we share by faith in Christ.

And so what the heck is the big deal about *being in full communion* anyways?

What does it mean and what does it prove?

That a whole bunch of people agree with something? So what? Why is that important?

Why do I waste my time?

They'll STILL miss it like...

I didn't say it applied for all Protestant churches. I showed more than one example which proves the point that if there are doctrinal differences certain Protestant churches may not be in communion contrary to what was claimed.

There are other non-Catholic churches where people of different denominations share the pulpit and communion.

Good for them, but it doesn't negate the fact that there are Protestant churches that restrict the pulpit and communion because of doctrinal differences.

You have not proved your point.

See above.

you see, since Jesus has a mother, He therefore has, according to the flesh, specifically-named great-grandmas like Bathsheba, Ruth, Rahab, Tamar, yes, human grannies going back to Eve)---

Meaning, consistent with Catholic practice, such should have as formal titles Great....grandmother of God. But such laudatory misleading titles is not the language of Scripture, which is careful to make the distinction btwn the Creator and the created which the common use of the formal title "The Mother of God" (even in preference to "God-bearer") is contrary to.

Paul clearly sees that Christ, the Only Savior, is associating each one of us in His work of salvation--- which we need to pray and work for, with Jesus, our Head:

Which is just what Catholicism and you are inconsistent with. For when naming and describing His chosen instruments, God nowhere comes anywhere close to the supererogatory adulation of the Mary of Catholicism, to whom are ascribed power, glory, praise, and titles which are nowhere given to any created being. Not even Paul, whose passion and sacrificial labor of love and teachings the Holy Spirit provides more on than any other redeemed mortal in the NT.

While a rule of Climatology seems to be that any negative effect that is desired to be attributed to Climate Change, will be, a rule of Catholicism is that any positive attribute that is desired to be attributed to Mary, will be, deity excepting. Even if not "officially, such adulation abounds uncensored.

That very little Mary is said of Mary in Scripture, and what is said is not what the hyper-exaltation of Catholicism, is a proof that Catholicism neither wrote or altered the Bible as some critics allege.

What we have in common is more important than what we do not.

Amen Mom. We may have some different YOPIOS ideas on some issues, that are not germane to salvation. On the plan of salvation, however, we march, absolutely, totally and completely in LOCK STEP with each other. There is not even the tiniest bit of wiggle room whatsoever, when it comes to misinterpreting the doctrine of Heaven and Hell. After all, nothing else really matters. I think the soul winner’s motive, should be to keep people out of Hell, where their pain goes to infinity.
I hope that scares a few people out of Hell. Unfortunately, I think many false religionists, blindly accept what others tell them, and continue to misinterpret, and downright misrepresent what the scriptures actually say. 👎

I can't help why so many of you Catholics do NOT even want to be 'in communion' with your OWN pope!

What are the rules of worship?

I guess your time is MUCH too precious for you to waste it looking up Acts 15 in your handy bible; I'll use MY precious time to do it for you.

Acts 15:22-35

The Council's Letter to Gentile Believers
22 Then the apostles and elders, with the whole church, decided to choose some of their own men and send them to Antioch with Paul and Barnabas. They chose Judas (called Barsabbas) and Silas, men who were leaders among the believers. 23 With them they sent the following letter:

The apostles and elders, your brothers,

To the Gentile believers in Antioch, Syria and Cilicia:

   Greetings.

24 We have heard that some went out from us without our authorization and disturbed you, troubling your minds by what they said. 25 So we all agreed to choose some men and send them to you with our dear friends Barnabas and Paul— 26 men who have risked their lives for the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. 27 Therefore we are sending Judas and Silas to confirm by word of mouth what we are writing. 28It seemed good to the Holy Spirit and to us not to burden you with anything beyond the following requirements: 29 You are to abstain from food sacrificed to idols, from blood, from the meat of strangled animals and from sexual immorality. You will do well to avoid these things.

   Farewell.

30 So the men were sent off and went down to Antioch, where they gathered the church together and delivered the letter. 31 The people read it and were glad for its encouraging message. 32 Judas and Silas, who themselves were prophets, said much to encourage and strengthen the believers. 33 After spending some time there, they were sent off by the believers with the blessing of peace to return to those who had sent them. [34] 35 But Paul and Barnabas remained in Antioch, where they and many others taught and preached the word of the Lord.
