Mayor Pete Buttigieg, the media, and academia are all fouled up about what perversion is!
Since the mayor is an admitted homosexual, with a "husband," no less, he obviously feels he must justify his choice of walking in the dark world of perversion. And make no mistake: homosexuality is perversion. If not, then all religions and denominations down through the ages have been wrong.
A serious person will not try to overturn civilization's morals, manners, and mores of thousands of years without much thoughtful consideration.
Evidently, Pete cannot be trusted to make decisions since he chose a degrading, dangerous, even deadly lifestyle. Such a person should not be in charge of the national budget or foreign policy or have his finger on the button.
People who are soft on perversion don't know the difference between right and wrong, up and down, black and white, good and bad, or normal and abnormal. The Hebrew prophet Amos commanded us to "hate the evil and love the good." (We are commanded to hate evil but never persons.) However, most people relegate Amos to the ash heap and suggest that what is evil for one person may be good for another. Afraid not. While there can be some honest disagreement about some things, when God speaks about an issue, that settles it. God has spoken clearly about perversion.
Most homosexuals, rather than deal with our objections and criticisms, resort to the embarrassing and humiliating ploy of screaming "hate," "bigotry," and "intolerance." That is much easier than speaking to the real issue. Even if some "traditional marriage" proponents are haters, that does not mean homosexuality is right and good for society.
Pete has aggressively gone after Vice President Pence because Pence believes in "traditional marriage."

He knows he’s a freak; the media is just trying to re-invest Judeo-Christian tradition and he’s playing ball.
It is a mental illness and should be treated as such. Suicide rates are much higher among homosexuals, and it’s not because they feel discriminated against. It’s because at some level, they know what they’re doing is messed up.
The article is well (and bravely) stated and deeply needed in our culture.
Pete is now in a rather uncomfortable spot.
If he doesn’t wet kiss his “husband” before adoring fans, they will say he’s setting back the cause of equal rights for homosexuals and he’s pandering to the right-wing bigots. If he does plant one, it will be more than enough to encourage normal people to pull the Trump lever on election day. I still say that the silent majority will use the opportunity to secretly stand against having homosexuality shoved down our throats.
There has been a couple of articles today about building a homeless shelter on the waterfront in San Francisco.
A lot of people who live there don’t want the shelter.
This is a real conundrum for the Liberals.
The second that the Liberals in San Francisco start yammering about how they don’t want people who behave differently than them, a homeless person is going to turn around and point a finger at the homosexuals in San Francisco and say,
“What about them? They’re OK, but I’m not?”

I believe that one of the arguments put forth by gay marriage proponents is that allowing them to marry will prevent promiscuity like the one you described above from happening.
What is unstated is that it has been shown that many “gay marriages” are “open” marriages where each partner actually agrees to allow the other to “play” as long as they come home.

God made man and women distinctively different yet uniquely compatible and complementary, and only joined them together in marriage - as the Lord Jesus Himself specified - and only condemned homosexual relations wherever they are manifestly dealt with.

This perversion does not exist in a political or cultural vacuum. Much of America has devolved into hedonism and decadence. “Mayor Pete” is a politician who is emblematic of his time and constituency.

The best thing each of us can do as today’s silent majority is to lie through our teeth to every pollster who calls, especially if the question is, “Do you own guns and if so, how many?”

He will never have children with his current “Lifestyle choice” - and so, by definition, could give a flying (insert obscenity here) about the future. Anything past his immediate gratification is of no import.
Keynesian economics is just the same model, writ large. Yes, John Maynard Keynes was gay. This, IMO, is the only explication on how he rationalized his economic model - the future just didn’t matter....to him.
This is the reason I would never vote for such a person. I worry about my grandchildren enough as it is....
