They didn’t save all the “stuff” inside. Most of it was lost and is irreplaceable.

I've seen at least two reports posted here tonight (with links) which claim the exact opposite.

Read the article. The wooden interior was totally destroyed including the rose windows, the altar, and the organ. Yes, some of the important artifacts were saved, but the destruction of the cathedral was massive. I can understand the desire to put the most optimistic slant on what happened, but it is delusional to deny how extensive the damage was. We will learn more in the coming days what was lost.
