I wonder to what extent the Church will recover its lost esteem. This Pope is just the cap on a long downward spiral of brand detruction built around the incorporation and promotion of homosexuality and assorted other liberal tropes into its message.
Or, so it appears to me, as an observer.
I am very distraught over his use of the phrase “water of life”. Jesus described Himself as the water that brings life. God has no place for multi anything, you either believe or you don’t, but all will bow.
Fine, send them to the Vatican. It even has walls to protect them from the Romans. Or, maybe protect Rome from them.
I have zero respect for his religious opinions, because they are all biased by his political ideology. He’s out of control, and needs to admit to himself that he has a significant amount of anti-Western bias that colors his view of the world.
The world IS multi-cultural, and I favor keeping it that way. Complete homogenization of cultures into one is actually anti-diversity.
It seems to me that we have reached the point at which a significant proportion of the Church is secular.
