He didn't go through a priest.
He didn't appeal to Abraham or any other person from antiquity.
He didn't appeal to Mary, who was right there, to "put in a good word" to Jesus.
He didn't wholly devote himself to Mary....or appeal to her in any way.
The lesson of the thief's confession and appeal to Christ, and only Christ, is one to look to.
What a ridiculous post. He didn’t even know who Mary was.
Christ IS a priest. And not only "a" priest, but the One priest, the High Priest.
We are a holy nation, a nation of priests.
We all participate in priesthood, in related but not identical ways. I am not, for instance, an ordained, ministerial priest, but I AM member of the Body of Christ.
And He is our priest.
Everybody knows that.
You might as well claim that the thief was saved without the Mystical Body of Christ. It simply makes no sense.
I'll pray for you. You pray for me. OK?
G'night good FReepers all.
