If Jesus is truly your Lord and Savior, don't worship Satan
10/19/2018 | Patriot777

If the title looks plain idiotic, it's not. On October 31, many who identify as being believers in Christ Jesus will actually do just that. Their church may have a spooky "trunk or treat" or festival, or a costume contest and they'll take their kids to it. This year the costumes will be even more horrific than the last, but it's all in fun. No. If you or your church participate in the celebration of Satan's day, you are in league with the Evil One and are not truly a Child of the Living God--Jesus. Get yourself and your family out of that church, repent and receive Jesus as your Savior and Lord or recommit your lives to the Lord, and find a church that does follow Christ and teaches the whole Bible. If there is any gathering at any church on the 31st, it should be to pray for the protection and safety of our law enforcement, first responders, our fellow believers, missionaries, our loved ones and thank our Savior that He indeed is coming quickly. My beloved FRiends, I love you in Christ Jesus.

And it’s true that even the activities we know as Halloween trick-or-treating can be used of the Holy Spirit to illustrate godly principles. Among which is that God has decisively defeated evil and what we are now looking at is a mop-up operation. I’d simply want people to think the whole thing over as best as they can, and be careful what they do as they do it. The more we cooperate with the Lord in this mop-up operation, the more we are blessed. We can be used of the Lord to use the existing Halloween pageantry without grooving on it. Treating evil lightly needs a perspective — is it the perspective of mucking around in evil? Or is it the perspective of standing in God? And I hope this is a balanced answer.

Are you sure it’s a corset and not the belt of truth?

And this is part of the need for a larger view of the situation. It isn’t unmixed. Still, we need to look at how the Holy Spirit (and the devil) moves.

I hate many aspects of Halloween, but other aspects are mirrors of redemption. Personally, knowing what I know, I’d want to mount a counter-culture effort here. Why aren’t we whooping it up big for All Hallows Day? Why doesn’t the Cross seem to figure at all in Halloween pageantry? The Holy Spirit can move us to places we might never have thought about.

I personally would avoid any careless juxtaposition or incorporation. However, I believe the Spirit might desire to move us to use the existing occasion to mount counter cultural efforts. We need to let the Spirit show us how. Done according to His will, it could result in a great rout against the devil.

And one very underrated thing is prayer. What we desire to do in the Lord, we need to be praying for as well, and if it is going to be a mighty effort, mighty prayer is appropriate too.

Christ has spoken to us through the entire bible, both Old and New Testament... that’s my story and I’m sticking to it (as does the bible). An over-puritanism is understandable out of ignorance, but we do not need to be ignorant.

That said, the need to be wise is always there. We need to move with the Spirit.

Doesn’t matter what my opinion is. Comes down to what God wants. He tells us what he wants in Scripture.

The ultra religious are the ones who defend Halloween, you can hear their religion in how emotional they get.

Christ spoke against religion and said just follow him. That’s what I do.

No day belongs to Satan. The victory has already been won. However we should do nothing to dishonor our Lord. Non demonic costumes and activities are not dishonoring. Of course at our church we have a Reformation Festival with costumes and candy for the kids....

I really can't help you.
If you're not able to discern the audience reaction here, nothing I say will open your eyes.

Quote(If there is any gathering at any church on the 31st, it should be to pray....)

If one follows the biblical calendar the Father taught Israel, false god wodensday October 31st is the Father’s 7th day Sabbath.
The 22nd day of His 8th month as in the days of Moses or the 2nd month as in the days of Noah.

It is a Holy Day that He taught Israel.
To rest and worship.

Satan does quite a job of setting up a premise and have a people of faith argue from That false premise.

Satan has people working and going to school and a little partying on a day the Father says. remember the Sabbath Day.
And keep it holy.

Satan does deceive the whole world.

American traditions served us well. God blessed us. To put it in legal terms: ‘settled law’.

But we MUST we MUST we MUST ...

FIGHT the devil!

Infanticide.

Kermit Gosnell!

Can’t wait for the DVD to come out.

I propose an Under God Amendment to Constitution. It’s very modest by everyday USA standards. But it would ESTABLISH our traditional values in a light very low-intrusion kind of way. Plenty of room to be a secularlist.

I am wary of “Christianity with big institutional support.” This will gradually decay away to become, at best, a side dish of faith in Christ with a main dish of institutionalism. It’s just too easy, and if the history of the church hasn’t taught us that, we have not been looking. Christian communities quickly hit a nadir as long as government control was embroiled. The privatization of worship allowed it to be freewill rather than political, unleashing godly spiritual power.

We need to get on our knees, yet not before a mob of public opinion, but rather privately before God Almighty. This in turn will bring power that will lift up the rest.

I’ll gladly do without the window dressing. Like Nike says, just do it in the way that always counted. Prayer by prayer, message by message, knee by knee, church by church, repentance by repentance.

I am wary of any “Ten Commandments Posting” that doesn’t give at least equal billing (preferably SUPERIOR billing) to the Cross. Without that, this is a dead letter. It’s like trying to run supercomputer software on your smartphone. Way too weak.

I’d like to posit an irony: that any society that would accept “Ten Commandments Monuments” all around wouldn’t need those monuments because they’d have bigger monuments to Christ, who fulfilled the Law and then sent a Spirit whose heart complies with the same, in their hearts.

Lets stay away from the window dressing. It’s really tempting to start with it, but in the end it is so much superficiality that can harm more than it helps because people will accept it in lieu of a kind of worship that becomes fuller and fuller hearted as worshiping lives progress.

This looks like a meeting of the First Church of Eff Jesus and Eff God in Laodicea or Babylon, with so many people attacking Patriot777. So many professing Christians who just want to be assured of a spot in Heaven, but don’t care about using what He’s entrusted to us according to His will and for His purposes, aren’t bothered about helping Satan instead, and act as if we won’t have to give account of how we’ve used what God has entrusted us with. They want to feast on the fruits of God’s vineyard and use almost just a little for God’s Kingdom. In the New Testament, we’re instructed to bear our cross while being sober and grave, being content with food and clothing because knowing the Lord should be enough for us, and to examine ourselves to see if we’re in the faith. I do believe that Christians might under God’s direction carefully use the Halloween occasion as a tool to try to reach the lost, but only after consulting with the Lord to see if that’s His will for them, and in how to do so. But there should be great concern for the fact that Halloween IS Satanic, and that we shouldn’t be fighting on Satan’s side.
