Vatican Advisor: Pope ‘Breaks Catholic Traditions Whenever He Wants’
The Catholic Herald (UK) ^ | 8/14/18 | Staff Reporter

Fr Thomas Rosica said the Church is now 'ruled by an individual rather than by... its own dictates of tradition plus Scripture'

Under Pope Francis, the Church is now “openly ruled by an individual rather than by the authority of Scripture alone or even its own dictates of tradition plus Scripture,” a Vatican advisor has said.

In an admiring portrait of the Pope, Fr Thomas Rosica wrote that Francis “breaks Catholic traditions whenever he wants” because he is “free from disordered attachments”.

Fr Rosica, a Canadian priest and media advisor to the Vatican, was writing on the website of Salt & Light Catholic Media Foundation, of which he is CEO.

The article, written two weeks ago, was republished by the news agency Zenit. After Fr Rosica’s statements came to attention on social media, Zenit removed the controversial statement and replaced it with “[…]”.

Fr Rosica said that, as a Jesuit, Pope Francis is guided by the principle of “discernment” which at times results in “freeing him from the confinement of doing something in a certain way because it was ever thus”.

There are 7 churches described in the book of Revelation, as to what their standing is based upon their doctrines.

And to hear FR Catholics tell it; they were ALL Catholic!!

Can. 1404 M The First See is judged by no one. Code of Canon Law - IntraText

It would seem to me; that any one who WOULD actually 'judge' him would have the beginning markings of PROTESTANTISM upon them.

Betcha a penny the vast majority of Roman Catholics are not aware of the "rules" you posted.

Of COURSE not!!

They apparently are not even 'aware' of a simple COMMAND of Jesus:

Call no man father...

Therefore, the true opinion is the fifth, according to which the Pope who is manifestly a heretic ceases by himself to be Pope and head, in the same way as he ceases to be a Christian and a member of the body of the Church; and for this reason he can be judged and punished by the Church. This is the opinion of all the ancient Fathers, who teach that manifest heretics immediately lose all jurisdiction..

First, manifest heretic ceases by himself to be pope (and therefore no longer pope, so can be judged)

HMMMmmm...

Just WHO decides just what HERESY is????

Power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely.

THIS is why I cannot believe that Jesus would put that kind of unbridled power into the hands of one man.

Same with the claimed power to remit or retain sins.

No one person should have the ability or power to determine another’s place for eternity and I don’t think that Jesus would have given that kind of power to so easily fallible and corruptible men.

And there’s Elsie, as usual, with a perceptive remark that probably is lost on many in its subtlety.

My understanding is that PF would be the false prophet, the head of the one world religion that gives its support and eventually worship, to the antichrist, who is a political leader.

Bergoglio is Jesuit. The vast majority of Jesuits quit being Catholic years ago.

Your opinion, nothing else.

But declaring someone to not be Catholic because of (fill in the blank)is a real convenient out for all the protesters within the Catholic church who are currently protesting the pope and the direction the church is going in.

Is that an attempt at mind reading or jsut smearing another’s character?

Either way, you don’t know that and you guessed wrong, again.

So what gives you the authority to decide that the pope is not Catholic, or anyone else for that matter?

Ironically, if one of us non-Catholics made that comment, we’d be shredded for making such a judgment, and we’d have people quoting Matt 7:1 at us.

And yet, there you sit and do the same and it’s OK. Why? I guess it depends on the person doing it, eh?

The distinctives of the/a current Imperator. Does the power extend past the grave? No. Or yes, if the current Imp is silent, but then "No" if the present Imp rules otherwise over the exImp(s). Or over the Scripture-giving Savior and His Spirit if need be.

The (Absolute) King is dead. Long live The King (until dead). Etc.

Isaiah 14:12-17 (AV):

12 How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning!
how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations!
13 For thou hast said in thine heart,
"I will ascend into heaven,
I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation,
in the sides of the north:
14
I will ascend above the heights of the clouds;
I will be like the most High.
"
15 Yet thou shalt be brought down to hell, to the sides of the pit.
16 They that see thee shall narrowly look upon thee, and consider thee, saying,
"Is this the man that made the earth to tremble, that did shake kingdoms;
17
That made the world as a wilderness, and destroyed the cities thereof;
that opened not the house of his prisoners?"

Humpf !

So who writes the catechumen's Book of Rules, the "Pontiff"? Or the "Magic Steering Bums"?
=========

"Pontiff" -- a truncated form of the office "Pontifex Maximus" (click here), a term meaning Highest Priest," very aptly carried forward from the pre-Christian ancient man-made Roman religion into the manifestly man-made state religion called Catholicism, a fourth-century imitation of the true Church of God proclaimed by Jesus of Nazareth, the long-heralded Messiach of the Jews. The True Church, not to be confused with Romanism, was supernaturally instituted in Jerusalem at the Pentecostal feast of 33 A. D.

This True Church, which Romanism made a supreme effort to supersede and quash, has never been completely blotted out, the remnants of which, from generation to generation of spirit-born disciples, has valiantly survived to this day. The Romanistic Catholic opponent is now in the last of its death-throes prior to the Second Coming of the Heavenly King and Prince of Peace Who will vanquish all these man-made religions when He sets up His thousand-year Kingdom of Righteousness and Peace to obliterate them.

(As you well know and I merely reiterate here.)

Your opinion is no better than my opinion. And you’re not a non-catholic.
You’re a lapsed Catholic. You don’t practice the faith. Nothing more. Quit trying to justify not practicing the faith by badmouthing practicing Catholics.

Gotta thank God for Fr. Thomas Rosica.

Not because he is a good priest. Rather, because he manifests a thoroughly corrupt mind for all to see.

I feel a bitter satisfaction when they nonchalantly disclose their real opinions. Now everybody can observe the kind of scum that has floated to the top.

I really don’t give a rip about what the pope has to say.

I has no effect on my life as he has no authority over me.

He’s the head of the Roman Catholic church, not any church I’ve ever affiliated with.

Besides, apparently many Catholic love him. My sister lives in WNY and she told me all the Catholic she knows love the guy to pieces.

Pope Francis Is Beloved. His Papacy Might Be a Disaster.
https://www.nytimes.com/2018/03/16/opinion/pope-francis-vatican-disaster.html

But then again, I would expect him to be loved by liberal Catholics, of which there are many.

I can count on one hand the number of real life conservative Catholics I’ve ever met in my whole life.

"Met any Albigensians lately?"

Yeah, of course! These local, autonomous, independent, nondenominational, Bible-preaching immersionist gatherings in the Name of Christ that locally break bread together in worship, pray, share, and discipline their own, are all over the globe. Many of them have been called "Donatists," "Paulists," "Anabaptists" (in brief, simply "Baptists"), "Mennonites," "Plymouth Brethren," just "Bible Fellowships" or simply "non-denominational." Such local gatherings are too numerous to count, for their faith is transmitted by personal sharing of the Gospel of Christ.

Above all, they are not "Catholics," "Protestants," denominational episcopacies, or children of the "Reformation." And when the Millennial Kingdom becomes reality, they will rule as agents of the Prince of Peace.

That phrase "free from disordered attachments" is so sickening.

First because it makes reference not only to generic sin, but in particular to perverse sins and tendencies. For instance, homosexuality involves a disordered attachment.

Second, as Fr. Rosica uses this phrase in context, it sounds like devotion to Scripture and Tradition is, in his view, a disordered attachment. He's insinuating that it's twisted or deficient to rely in Scripture and Tradition, as if that's perverted or emotionally and spiritually sick.

"Rigid," like they say.

It's worthy of the most mordant social satire, that Rosica the Flexible Presstitute drops his...droppings... with such insouciance, and then Zenit covers it up with a coy little [...]

Psalm 36:1
"I have a message from God in my heart concerning the sinfulness of the wicked: There is no fear of God before their eyes."

... the anti-Christ will not preach in a flesh body.

Uh... Just where did you learn this?

Have you never read? From Jesus... HE told us repeatedly who the fake Jesus would be ... even way back in the Garden of Eden...penned by Moses.

Christ declared according to Mark 13:23 But take ye heed: behold, I have foretold you all things.
